Hey ECF!
I have a 2ohm short barrel 510 HH357. Breaking it in with some oba oba tobacco juice... yummm. But it seems like the mesh/coil/everything sits very high in the atty. When I pull my drip tip off, bits of juice fly off, I regularly get juice in my mouth, and I'm afraid that the bottom of my drip tip may be almost touching the mesh around the outside. I have a long barrel HH on the way, but I'm not going to waste this one!
What can I do to make like an extension, essentially making this into a long barrel?
Any ideas greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Dave

Lol, sweet deal and glad to hear it's workin for you :)

My long barrel died yesterday night...the white rubber band piece that sits around the center post/pin was coming out and once I raised that up to put in the rubber band, it won't fire anymore. I emailed avid a little while ago, so will be interesting to see what I can do if anything to fix it.

I am sure Hanna will take care of you, my experience with him has been great so far.
I have a short barrel(mentioned in the OP I believe) that wasn't producing the flavor that I expected. I emailed Hanna, and I am sending it to him and he is going to rebuild/rework it and send it back to me. He took about a day to respond to my initial email(as I'm sure I am not the only person emailing him and he is busy), but after that went back and forth with him, and he was great. I am very impressed, he is determined to have it working perfectly for me, and I can't say enough about that. He stands behind his attys 100%.
In the meantime, I opened my long barrel HH to start using that as my short barrel will be out to Hanna, and its amazing! Flavor is excellent already(only been 2 days), vapor amazing, and I love the long barrel design, which I initially was unsure of. I think the long barrel HH will be my go to for some time to come. Next pay day, I think I'll get the ball rolling on a couple custom 357s, I want one with the cobalt blue barrel!

Cisco's a friend of mine, he actually hand-delivered a long barrel HH.357 since we live 5 minutes apart, haha.

It died once because the insulator was punctured and it caused a short, but he took care of it asap. I dropped it off, the next day it was fixed and still performs stellar.

It's worth reaching out to Avid. If anything, a rebuild is a pretty cheap yet effective option. They are hand made, so there's a good chance that your coil is sitting too high.
