I've searching the forums but can't seem to find a solution.
Any fixes for a manual battery that is stuck in on position?
You can still push the button and feel it clicking but it has no affect.
Put tester on it and it shows current whether button is in or not. On the other working batts you only see current when buton is pressed in.

If there is no fix how do you disassemble the batt so that I can make a mod out of the connector?

Hi KJ,

You can pick the rubber button cover off (out of the hole). Underneath is the little plastic switch on a circuit board. Try to carefully lift or poke at it with a pin from the stuck down position. If it looks like it is working, (moving up and down with its full motion) just clean it. Make sure it moves up and down well. It is very small, you may need a magnifying lens and light to see what's going on. I assume the battery is drained, so, you can then clean the plastic switch area with a Q-Tip that is very lightly moist (and the tip fluffed to a point to reach inside) with rubbing alcohol (pure alcohol is better). Use the other dry end to make sure the switch is dry. Then, when it seems to be clean and works, replace (after cleaning) the rubber button cover. Kinda' tough to do. I have recovered a 510 battery this way, hope it works for you.

Some people say to just whack the battery a few times on a firm surface to try to unstick it. Maybe try this first.
