Hello, i've noticed that the 5 multi pack of manual batteries i bought from TW are not sealed that the others i have. Is this normal??

I've contacted TW and they said they are unsure but to send them back and they'll send me a replacement.

I just figured i'd ask before i waste time and money sending them back before i get the same in return.

The 2 from other 510 kits i bought are sealed and all 5 of the mega batteries i have are sealed.

I thought the auto batts are unsealed and the manual batts are right?

What indication do you get that tells you they are not sealed?

Not sure about him, but my orginal manual 510 batts I got from IV have a small hole at the battery's inner floating connector but if you look inside, it is sealed. These batts say "MP" on them. I recently ordered 10 more from another company and there is no hole there..... it is completely flat (and they don't say "MP").

If this is the original OP's concern, I'd say that so long as you can't see an actual pinhole inside that small hole, they should be sealed. By their nature, all manual batts should be sealed.

The auto batteries are not sealed because the switch works by detecting your draw on the cart. The manual batteries are supposed to be sealed so that liquid can't leak into them.

Yeah I know.... I'm not sure if you were directing that at me or just adding to my post. But anyway, my point was that some manual batteries have a hole in the inner floating contact and some don't, and if he is seeing that hole there, it doesn't necessarily mean it isn't sealed. To be sure, look inside the hole.

Pic attached to show that not all SEALED batteries look alike. Note the buttons.... they are both manuals. Then look at the floating contact in the center. The one on the left has a "hole" but a close look inside shows it is sealed off (can't really see that in the pic though). The one on the right is flat and smooth (no hole).

That is exactly right.

Great news as i'll now have some more extra batteries as i will be needing them with my stuck switch prob with my new 2 day old Protege. :( hopefully i can send it back in for repair.

Sorry i never responded sooner but the forum never sent me a email notification.. Didnt know i had to change the settings to allow it to email me hehe.
