510 mega - 3 blinks??

What the heck does it mean when a 510 mega battery blinks 3 times? I've got two that have just done that in the past couple weeks. They blink 3 times when put on the charger, then NOTHING. They seem to have died. Is 3 blinks 510 mega speak for "Taps" ?? ... or does it indicate a problem that I can do something about? Please help, as these batteries are no more than a month old and I'm very disappointed with them. I won't be buying any more mega's if this is their usual lifespan.

Try cleaning the threads on them and the charger with a qtip in rubbing alcohol. NOT drippy. And unplug the charger first.........

If it is anything like my eGo 510 battery - it just means "Thank you, yes, I can see the charger, now leave me alone."

They just do that to indicate that they will start charging now.... nothing more, nothing less.

Hamburger - no, this wasn't the usual blinks of starting charging, it was 3 slow blinks rather than the quick ones. I also have the ego and its not the same. Thanks anyway.

Thanks Night. That solved it. The 3 slow blinks must mean "I see power, but not enough to charge me".
