I didnt order starter kit because i wanted to make my own customized kit so i bought Joye 510 in pieces with 2 mega batteries (280 mAh,) each, 2 regular atomizers, no high voltage no low resistance, just regular atomizers and 2 usb chargers.
The issue is both batteries needs about 1 hour and 30 mins to charge (to green light on charger) and they lasts only about 1 hour of heavy vaping  before LED blinks about 10 times in row and battery shuts down. I am charging them both in same time on same computer, it is small lenovo netbook. Some say that my ordinary USB chargers cant fully charge battery, others say that my small laptop cant provide enough voltage to fully charge both batteries in same time.
I dont know what to think, those are brand new batteries and mega version (about 1 inch longer then regular ones).
Right now i am cahrging only one at time on my laptop so i'll be back with results.
Very confusing.

Well with USB charging that's a trickle charge, most USB ports are designed to just power things like flash drives and little USB hard drives. I don't use my PC or laptop ports anymore unless I'm out and about and have too, you'd be better off getting a USB charger from Walmart or Radio Shack. Just make sure it doesn't exceed 2 amps output.

I found this wall USB charging plug at home and on it is written (among other things): OUTPUT: 5V DC, 300mA
is that good, can i use it?

Yes a 5v 300ma output USB to AC could be OK for charging slim batteries. Not enough for a passthrough (needs 2 amps aka 2000mA) nor a fat battery model's charger (needs 420-500mA).

BTW I use these to charge 4 assorted batteries (or could power 1 passthrough with no batteries on it)

Re the short battery charge - sounds like you got low resistance atomizers or something - let's see a link to the atomizer you got. Low res attys and cartos should not be used on slim batteries and have the potential to damage slim batteries.

Either that or you are vaping it very heavily. 100mah is 1 hour of moderate vaping (which does not mean vaping all the time). And that is 1 hour of moderate vaping with a standard resistance atomizer or carto, not with a low resistance ones that uses battery charge faster (LR stuff is for fat battery ecigs and mods - 450mah and up). A Joye 510 mega xl battery is 280mah.

Are you sure that you actually bought a JoyeTech 510?

Sounds like a knockoff if you bought it new and not in a kit!

I trust Heaven's Gifts if it says Joye to be Joye. it's one of the best Chinese shops

Yeah they don't list the ohms but that should be right for the atomizer if they really mean regular.

How much are you vaping it? If you are a heavy vaper consider a Riva 510 from Liberty-Flights.com - the lite bundle is under $30 after you pres the 20% off on the front page - press that first then look at Riva 510. Two complete 750mah Riva 510's. And use the slim model when you don't want to be vaping something big?

The slim 510 cannot use the Riva's charger so label it! And they can share standard resistance atomizers and cartomizers but not the LR ones that come with Riva.

That's less output than your USB port.

A USB port puts out 500mA (USB3 is 900mA) - the hour and a half it takes to charge your batteries is pretty normal.

I don't know. This is just anecdotal but I just brought my 510 to a picnic last weekend (regular not mega battery) because I didn't know a lot of people and didn't want to whip out my 1000 mah battery with the EMDCCs. I only had LR cartos which I know is a no-no but used them anyway. I didn't chain vape every second, but I vaped a lot plus everyone of course wanted to try it. And my battery with the LR carto lasted most of the day. I think I might have put a new battery on toward the end of the day. I didn't time it or anything but it was a heck of a lot longer than 1-2 hours. Plus my batteries are about 3 months old, plus I was using LR cartos.

With brand new mega batteries, SR atty I would think you'd get longer than that.

Unless I got super duper batteries!

Maybe it's the charger?

I think i found the problem, after charging only one battery at time on laptop battery last longer. 4 hours so far.
Maybe problem really was with my computer couldn't handle charging 2 batteries in same time.:vapor:

Then I don't understand why the light on the chargers would go green. Oh, well - glad you got it sorted out :)
