510 Mega battery vs regular battery

Hello,

Does the Mega battery give you more than 2 hours of vaping that the regular battery does? The kits come with both so I was wondering.

It sure does. You can also use the mega atty/mega cart and vape for a lot longer than regular ones.

I can't even fathom how a battery that is the same diameter as a regular 510 one and only has about a 20-30% increase in length can work for 5-6 hours if the normal one gets about an hour and a half tops(usually less) when I use it heavily. Someone needs to explain that one.

If it really got 5-6 hours, it would nullify my need for a PCC, but if it doesn't and doesn't fit in a PCC, then I'd probably be happier with just swapping the battery out for the charged one in the PCC every so often.

I use Mega batt and mega atty and other than adding a few drops of juice I get 6 to 8 hours every day. I have a PCC for the mega and I've only needed it once in 3 months and that was at work with 3 hours overtime

Because the outer casing, or tube, which is the outside of the battery, doesn't tell the full story. Inside, there is a board with a microchip, another board with an LED light, space for the female threading and (on manual models) button, or auto switch on automatics. Given how short the 510 battery casing already is, that doesn't leave much room for a very big battery inside. The extra 30% length casings allow for an inside battery that's actually twice the size of the normal one. I hope I explained this in a way that made sense lol, as it's a bit hard to explain.

There are many posts on this subject. But a simple rule of thumb is approx 1hr for every 100mah. So standard 510 = 180 mah ~1.5 hrs, mega = 280 mah ~ 2.5 hrs, eGo 650 mah ~ 6 hrs. This assumes heavy vaping. If you take a small pull every 5 to 10 mins then all batteries will last much longer. If you are dripping and go through 1.5 ml/hour then see above

My Mega 510 batteries generally last about 4-5 hours...........

My mega lasts from 6:30 am til about 3 pm when I'm at work and not able to vape as often.
When I'm home its from 7 am til about 12.
