Hi everyone,

Well I read thru numerous threads, and I give up. Now Im more confused then ever!! I bought (4) 510's about 2 months ago. I believe their vaping performance has decreased quite a bit. I am using American Juice w/ some Tasty Vapor. I drip directly & fill my carts so you would think I would get some serious vapor. After the first couple of puffs, it becomes minimal. So I don't want to buy all these parts and then figure out which 510 is the prob by switching & trying. Most of the wicks came off my attys (that y drip directly) and I do blow them out occasionally & they all still work. So Im thinking start with new batteries? Any directions would help. TIA!

With 4 batteries (if you normally rotate them) i don't believe that is the problem. Also..you mention the wicks. Is that the "metal mesh" or the threads under the atty's bridge? Either way that is not normal unless you pry them off. Without the threads and the mesh you have a drip only atty. Try not to overdrip. Blow one of the atties that still has mesh and/or threads from the battery end. After that hit the button for about 5 secs , do you see any orange glow beneath the bridge? If not hit it again for another 5 secs...do this till you see any glow. If you can't see any glow just try this, follow the exact steps.

Portguy,
Holy Crap!! Did it work!!! It worked so well I cleaned all my attys right away!! I didn't know they even heated up that hot, thats how gunked up they were, and my lord they sizzled w/ burning the crap off! Also, I used "air in the can" to dry them & that seemed to maybe shorten the process w/ them heating up. Now, I used stock 510 batts & by the time I cleaned each one, they were drained. Anyways, I can't thank you enough & your method will now become my standard in cleaning all my attys! They work better then when I first got them!!

Glad it worked! BUT it isn't my method (well...it is now in the sense that i use it to clean any atty).

To each is own :) : That cleaning method was posted by highping on the thread i posted: go give him some props!!! He also discovered the cart mod on my signature...if you can...try it.

Cheers!

Don't give up on the 510. I can afford to buy any P/V I'd like. Not bragging here, just to make a point. I have been using mine for over a year, with great results. Use good liquid, keep the atty's clean,TRY not to flood them. I also use the Mega battery and it gives me more charge time. I also invested 15.95 for a power pass through, no battery on the pass thru. It plugs into computer or into usb wall adapter. It gives out close to 5 v of heaven. Stick with the 510. Learn how to work with it and it won't let you down. Just my and thousands of other 510 users opinion!
Also follow advise on this website.Best advise you can find. Good Luck!
