Hello! I'm looking for a stainless steel nut that fits 510 threading. I've been told that the size I'm looking for is a 7mm nut with 0.5 threading. I've been to local hardware stores (big and small), and nobody has it. 7mm nuts and bolts are apparently barely ever used in anything, and even then only with a 1.0 threading. Google hasn't been a big help. Only found one place where I could order an actual 510 connector that is meant to be used in making your own mod, but they were like $1 apiece, which is more than I'm looking to spend for something that's normally so cheap.

My plan is to make a stand for my atomizers and tanks at home, and a friend of mine wants to glue some to his tackle box of vaping stuff so his RSST and such don't leak while he's moving around with them.

I know I could just grab one of these and make my own, but then I'd have to change the material I'm making the stand out of (I assume they won't work well with wood) or something. If anyone could point me in the direction of a place to get either 7mm - 0.5 nuts or wherever custom modders pick up their 510 connectors, I'd be eternally grateful. Thanks for your time!

Oh you want to build a stand where you can screw your batteries on to it..I gotcha

Why not just get a hunk o wood and drill holes in it

Not sure if having the stress on the actual 510 head would be a good thing...you would have to unscrew it, if you didn't and just snatched the battery, all that leverage on that little head = busted mod or tank

Plus having a solid metal item screwed down on the battery could result in a perfect short if the button was accidentally pressed (510 head has a insulated center conductor, the outside is the ground/negative side)

Does that help sir?

Want a cool custom mod idea...check this out!

After thinking it over I realize what you want...in the bottom of the tacklebox you want female threaded nuts epoxied down so you can screw your tanks into sitting upright instead of on their side sliding around and spilling and stuff

Closest thing I have found was
http://www.vapeking.com.au/siam-mods-stand-for-rebuildables-slotted/

I don't think there is a "standard" thread for nuts of 7mm x .5
Looks like you are on to something though...get the tap and get a piece of soft metal, dill holes, tap em out..blammo
Might be able to make you some money doing it...

Sorry, I hadn't specified. I'm not looking to screw the mods down, the stand I'm looking to make would just have holes drilled in it for that. I could drill holes for individual tanks or atomizers (with a smaller hole at the bottom so it isn't resting on the actual connector), but that'd restrict what I could put in it (if I get a larger tank later on or something, I'd have to redrill).

I found these on the site that got linked earlier, that's my closest bet so far. If I knew anyone with the equipment, I'd totally just grab the tap and make my own.

Thanks for the help, I'm further along than I was!

Rule of thumb... if it's a bear trying to find a certain item, you're probably better off re-designing your plan. Some of those stands that Warhawk provided are damn pleasing to look at.

If you're bent on using a 7mm - 0.5 thread set-up, why not grab one of these?

510 to 510 Short Adapter- Sealed

Use the tap you provided a link to and drill and tap yourself a hole.

Here's a 510 connector with a lock nut...
