Well, I just ordered the 510 (from Cignot.) Economics played a big role in my decision. I was able to get the no-box kit (two manual batteries, two atomizers, 5 pre-filled cartridges and an AC charger) plus 5 blank cartridges, 3 extra atomizers, a car charger, and 20 ml of VG juice, all for $79 shipped.

My Smoke 51 system is down to one battery, and the cartomizers are getting too fussy to refill.

I still have about half a 30ml bottle of No. 9 medium juice left, (which I really like,) so I THINK I'll be good to go for a while.

Thanks for all the input!

Can someone post a link of where I can get a manual Vapor King Battery and USB pass-through?
the vapor king can be bought at vapor4life dot com
CigEasy dot com has 902 model manuals that ARE compatible with the cartomizers(KR808D) (I think they are the same thing) but I don't know I use MODs now

V4L I have dealt with I know Steve takes care of his people and has great customer service.

CigEasy I haven't bought from but heard he is trustworthy.. he has blank carts as well
Mist stix has blanks too that fit the KR808D 2pc models

Regards,

I'd just like to add that not only are kr808d-1s mod-able they are mod-able without the need to hack your existing equipment.

you can buy your connectors from Radio shack;

Mods are manual; the "Nico Stick Mod" is not only simple but simply more than adequate to replace the need to buy any production bats in the future...

I enjoy the auto bats, nothing better for absentmindedly sipping vapor...no thought, no effort, no problem...

Love the auto bats...

USB powered cartomizers are even less difficult to make than Nico sticks (you don't need to accommodate a 52mm battery)

VG? that's all I use to cut and or make my juices...

I have carts still in service since my day 1, that's 52 days ago...

I may try a 510 sometime in the future, but right now I don't see the point...

Frank at Cigeasy is a GREAT vendor, as is Ben at Vapornine, as is Cletus at Miststix, personally I find vapor4life to be on pricey side...

No biggie

Just thought you'd like to know

I think that if you look at what actually comes with the kit, the price is comparable. For instance, with miststix they don't appear to have the manual option for those who prefer that. Also neither one of their starter kits come with the passthough and the kr808d-1 passthrough is a must have imo lol!

So be sure when comparing packages that you are looking at what you are actually getting in the package.

Thanks for that..

However, there's no piece of gear more suspect or prone to failure than a Chinese pass-through.

I suggest folks would be better off if they left the battery out of their units.

anyway, like I say no biggie, I'm a shopper and...

$40 two bat kits with a juice bonus !!!

$6.50 for 5 pre-filled cartomizers !!!

$9.00 for 30ml. 24mg. juice....!!!

None of these can be had from v4L.

I'm ready to shop there, but they'll have to do better job of dazzling me with their prices..

PS. A pure USB driven cartomizer is the simplest of all mods...ain't no-thang

Just wanted to point out that one starter kit is not necessarily the same as another, so look for what is actually in the package. So far my USB passthrough rocks! What I like about it is that it doesn't have an inline battery like my 510 passthrough did. It powers up directly from the USB and is seriously killer! Different strokes for different folks! ;)

Enjoy! And happy Vaping.

Exactly,

You have a direct USB driven cartomizer...

Why they call it a pass-through is beyond me?

IT'S JUST WRONG !!!

It cannot pass-through a battery which isn't there...

I dislike inaccurate text when shopping for stuff.

but...

I'd love to shop V4L, if you have any pull there, talk to them about being a bit more competitive...

Thanks

I've had my 510 for a couple of weeks now and have "grown accustomed to it". I know what I want, I know what I have to do to get it. But trhere is a little work involved.

I got my VK yesterday, and I have to say that I consider Osculum's appraisal to be very consistent with my own thoughts. I like the VK and I can easily see myself recommending it to first timers and converts. But, I also see myself continuing to use the 510 for the vapor production.

One thing is for sure, I need to find a "whistle tip" mouthpiece for the VK. I really don't like the large round cartomizer end (I've been using a 901 mouthpiece on my 510) and I can't hold it in my lips easily when I need both hands. But that's just me.

LOL I know I know! 8-o I am a nutcase and my enthusiasm gets misjudged I think! I have been accused of being a walking advertisement for V4L but actually I have no more pull then any other customer with Steve, he treats everyone the same and I am always astounded by his generousity and not just to people who post a lot. He always tosses in extra cartos to try, fluids, and things like manual passthroughs and the extra long manual batteries. Give him a call and talk to him about your concerns, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he listened. ;)
