I bought a Standard passthrough for a 510. Doesnt say a voltage on it but it has one AA battery in-line... Is that a 3.7 volt?

Also is there a 3way 3.7-5-6 passthrough with a switch?

Where can i find mod instructions for a 5v and/or 6v passthru if I cannot buy one?

I looked around but the search engine here is horrible and I just cant find what I'm looking for.

TIA

The stock ones with inline battery opperate off the battery inside it, the usb cable simply recharges that internal battery so yes this is 3.7v (I do not thnk they will work w/o the internal battery)

Not that I have ever seen. Closest to this commercially would not be a passthrough but a mod. The Prodigy has 2 switches available, one for just 5v, the other for 3.7 or 6+ depending on the batteries used. (The 5v model uses a resistor to cut the battery voltage down to 5 from 6+)

Also the GGTS (GG transformer) will hold MANY battery sizes / voltages. (I don't say all but it wouldnt suprise me, lol)

There is a modders forum here, I'd look there but as I don't mod I havent read enough to say there is a specific thread for this topic allready or not, but there are knowledgable people there to ask.

Answers in red above, hope this helps.

I have not heard of a true 5v battery, so believe the only mods at 5v reach it via a resistor.

Also the ps usb pass I *believe* is made resistorless meaning if the usb port you plug it into puts out 5v, then that is what you get. Having said that I do know not all usb ports put out the same ammount of AMPS, and have read that you need one with about 1.5-2 amps for it to work well/best. They do make inexspensive wall plugs with usb ports like this one I saw did well with the PS usb pass: USB Dual Power Adapter

For more in depth info on Puresmoker products I would suggest stopping by the PS forum here: Puresmoker - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

I also was on a quest to find a 5v device, sadly the PS usb pass is not in stock yet as they had to remake it in another material, hopefully they will have both that and the new style prodigy out soon. In the meantime I have 2 of the PS Protoge's on order to tide me over :)

What are you plugging it into? do you need a special wall adapter with higher USB output voltage?

Not sure what he is using, but I also own the 510 Puresmoker PT, I use this for my outlet: USB Dual Power Adapter as was posted earlier....

I actually own three of usb outlets now... one for the computer room, one for the bedroom and one for the living room..... There less than $4 dollars shipped and are better in my opinion than ones you see in the store for $20-$30 dollars each
