Hi. This is likely a silly question, but here it goes anyway: I just got a new 510 from InnoVapor, but it came without instructions so I have no way of knowing if this is corect behavior or not. When I press the button on the manual battery, the LED comes on but after several seconds begins to blink, then stops. The atomizer, of course, also shuts off at this point. Is this normal behavior? I thought manual batteries stayed on for as long as the button was held. Not so?

Thanks for your patience with the novice.

Do they still vape normally. I mean are they working right other than the flashing. Sounds to me like they have a built in cut off. My 510 batteries don't but I have some 901 manual batteries that do have a cut off. This defeats the purpose of having a manual battery IMO. Anyway if this is the case then there is nothing wrong with your batteries.

Well I know exactly what he is talking about. I ordered 12 510 kits from a supplier in China and instead of black kits with blue led lights I got black kits with green led lights. This company didnt even have an option for the green led 510's. I have been expeirencing the same behavior whith the blinking. I am convinced that this company sent me manual 401's in my 510 kits.8-o
These batteries do not last long either 3 have completly died after 2 charges. This company said they will send me replacments for all of them. I am still waiting.lol

My 510 manual batts have a cutoff. With an atty on, if you hold the button down 10-15 seconds the battery will shut off (New vaper...had to try various cleaning methods/screw with shtuff :D). I just tested a battery straight off the charger but without an atty and after 15-20 seconds it blinks off once and then goes back to being "on". Perhaps there is a heat sensor on the battery?

Other than the brief blink...I haven't experienced any other blinking beyond that of the 30 second "dead" blink and the 5 second "charging blink".

Something's not right then. Both of my fully charged batteries are exhibiting this behavior :( I've timed it. they begin to blink right about the 7-second mark. Guess I should return them or notify the company?
You should at least try that.

I have one 510 battery (BE112, white/orange) that does the exact same thing, but I haven't bothered to ask for a refund because it's only 1 (and I have others), it was cheap, and they sent me a free bottle of juice to make up for a delay in shipping (from China) that still turned out to be less than a week after I ordered.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I wrote to the company and just received an answer, which states:

The New 510s have a cut off feature. after 7 seconds of being on the battery wil shut itself off to prevent injury to the atomizer and more importantly the user. The battery will sometimes turn on if you have it in your pocket or somewhere on your person and start to heat the atomizer. if there is no cut off (like the old models) then it can get quite hot draining the battery, shortening the life of the atomizer and potentially singing some hairs.
