510 Tank cleaning

Okay so whats the best way to clean a 510 tank? I hope I am posting this in the correct section.

First off I am a noob, the 510-T is my first PV and I love it, but I realize after a little while I notice ejuice starting to collect in the tank where air passes through... is this normal? and is there a easy way to clean it?

Technically, it's not your ejuice. It's condensation and it just happens with all the tank systems, unfortunately. I just wipe mine off with a tissue when I remove the tank for refilling.

If you want to know how to clean the atomizer, I'll be happy to tell you how I do it, but it's a different issue altogether.

Happy vaping!

ty katya! i decided to experiment with one of the attys to clean, so i soaked one of them in rubbing alcohol for an hr, then i rinised it under hot water, and blew it out and now its drying...

is there another method to clean them?

and i found this from another thread

I'll wager you ARE getting leaks, but you haven't noticed how it's happening, and that's why you are changing tanks so fast... Allow me to explain:

I have the bauway version of these, which are the same, except there's no hole at the top of the atty to allow the use of an auto batt. What I noticed happening, is the juice gets sucked in through the air channels and pools at the bottom of the mouthpiece, but it won't leak out the air hole in to your mouth.

I was changing my tanks quickly too...If you have a translucent tank, take a look at it after you've taken several hits off it, and you'll see what I mean if you look closely. I found a way to minimize the effect, but you will still get some minor leakage and wasted liquid.

First, when you insert a new tank, push it all the way in, then give it a a little twist. I find it helps create a better seal around the needle and the tank lid. Then, make sure you hold down that button for a few seconds to heat up the coil BEFORE you take a draw. This way, any juice passing through the atty will be vaporized, and very little of it will come through the air channels. It should really help you conserve your juice.

I'm still on the fence, although the love the tighter draw, and flavour/vapor production. Feels more like a cigarette draw. I may go back to smart carts though. They pretty much don't leak at all.

Well, I can't say for sure what's going on with your setup without looking at it. It is possible that you do have a leaking tank; sometimes it happens, usually when the tank is not seated properly--it needs to be inserted all the way in, firmly. Besides, with frequent refilling and reseating of the tank, some juice may get into the cartridge chamber even if there no leaking per se.

My 'condensation' is colorless, but I also tend to vape colorless juices, so who knows.

Here's my maintenance routine; it worked with my big eGo-T atties and I will use it with my 510-T atties as well.
