I recently found out that tank atomizers can start to have problems after a week of use and require cleaning often. I did however like the good throat hit they produce. But last night I took some blu cartomizers and soaked them overnight to get the original flavor out of them, Today I put them in the oven and baked them dry, then soaked them with my favorite liquid. When I tried them I got a good flavor and throat and was surprised by it. I didn't think cartomizers could give such a good hit off them. And it makes me question the need for tank atomizers too, since cartomizers are easier to maintain and carry around, I may in fact just start using them. I did start with blu cigs but returned them because they just were too mild for me and didn't really produce good vapor, but with carts left over I refilled them and now I'm having good results. I'm thinking about ordering some carts and just using them instead of tank atomizers because its much easier. Anyway I just thought I'd see what some other people though, who knows maybe I can even get better battery life to by using carts instead.

I will be honest and say I don't know what a tank atomizer is. Most tanks are either using cartomizers or a rebuildable type.

The nice part about tanks in general is you don't have to fill them as often. I typically use about one carto a week in my tanks, then use a new one. VERY rarely ever do I clean the tanks themselves.

Not sure if that helps or not.

The 510 tank atty systems are the eGo-T and eGo-C setups. They are basically an improved version of the old atty+cartridge setup, but the cartridge doesn't have any filler material, so in effect it's just a cartridge tank.

OP,

I personally agree that cartos perform better than the tank atty setups, if you want to increase the capacity that your carto holds you can always get a carto-tank too.

Thank you for your opinions, I wish I would have known sooner before ordering more atty's for my tank setup. I feel the blu cig experience has mis informed me of how good cartomizers really perform. When I had the blu starter kit, the carts sucked but when I cleaned out their liquid and used mine along with a good 510 battery, It gave loads of vapor and a good throat hit. I guess this is just another lesson learned in vaping, don't trust anything from blu.

The biggest problem with Blu is the liquid. It's too low in strength. You can get blank cartos for it fill your own if you wish.

That said, I enjoyed the tank system when I used it, but that was the 901 version. I tried the 510 version and I didn't enjoy it very well. I did get about a month out of my 901 atties, but I also use a very clear and thin liquid.

Everything in my 510 t kit broke, the two atties, one out of the two batteries, and even the usb charger. Come to find out I got a knock off brand instead of a brand like Joye.

https://www.sharp-smoker.com/510tanke_cig_p/510tankecig.htm?1=1&CartID=1

I am returning that one and getting a better well known brand as seen below

Joyetech 510 T Starter Kit - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes

When I got my kit from the first website it said two standard batteries, so went out and bought a pcc for them

Electronic Cigarette Portable Charging Case (PCC) for 510 ONE Model Electronic Cigarettes

But to find out they were not standard batteries, so now I'm hoping I'll get standard batteries from the second site I bought the kit from. Then I can use my PCC and have tanks or carts I can carry with me.

Thats good, I'm looking for exactly that. Something that produces good vapor and throat hit and that resembles a normal cig. Its makes it easier for me to quite smoking that way. I'll check out the duel coils too, its definitly cheaper then 6-10$ a week for tank atomizers plus cartomizers are easier to clean and maintain. If anything, the tank atomizers that I have coming I can just use at home, and the carts while I'm not at home. I was very fustrated and still am because of the cheap kit I got, but I guess its a learning game and you learn something new everyday if your just getting into vapping

We all waste some money in the beginning. Just check out the thread I made last night with a picture of all the stuff I threw away. Plenty of cheap broken ecigs that were never good to begin with. I may have wasted money, but just look at my signature. If I compare it, I still saved $1000's over the past few years.

I've tried 808-D, 510, 510-T, and eGo-T before finally getting into RBA's. The Carts/Attys were all solid, albeit I found they had a short life and I didn't like cleaning them. As for the eGo-T setup, in spite of the muted flavor, and occasional dry hit, the result of juice not feeding fest enough, I like them overall. I found the 510-T to be abysmal. Constant dry hits, weak performance, all right out of the package. I believe the 510-T atty is just not big enough to feed adequately.
