hi.

So my Hana mod clone 30 has had some wear and tear. But now the 510 connector on it has somehow expanded that none of my atties will screw in. If I hold it in place the mod still fires but, I don't know how to make the female part that it screws into smaller so that my atties will screw in and stay in. Has anyone had experience with this? Or any suggestion of how to fix it- even its some type of "mcGyuver" solution?

Thanks,

I can't remember but I'm thinking the 510 connector is adjustable isn't it? If that's the case use a screw driver and turn the screw to the left to expand the connector. If it's not adjustable I'm thinking it some how has gotten recessed . You will need to see if you can bring the connector up a bit. You can Try gently taking a very small flat screw driver and see if you can bring the connector up a bit. If these things don't work a lot of tanks are adjustable and you can screw the connections out a bit. Hopefully that will make it fit. Hope this helps best wishes!

Hi Persephone and welcome aboard.

Ace of Vapes does repairs.

For a temporary repir, you can cut a small strip of plastic from an old credit card, stick it down in your 501 connector and screw on your atty.

Hope that helps and Happy Vaping!

Another way, and also another thing I haven't tried yet but read online. Is to take a small piece of foil and wrap it around your male connection, the guy said that the foil should or would stay in there once installed. I'm not saying this is the best way or the safe way. Just a way that I recently read due to my stripped threads on my itaste VTR! Good luck and Vape on!

If your not handy and can change out the 510 your self use any of the above mentioned shims with a 510 to 510 adapter then you will have fresh threads but you will now sit a little above your box.
Next save your money and buy a better made device one that has SS 510 connection. there are plenty of affordable box mods that have SS over brass threads. Who cares if it looks like a Hanna or a flask as long as it is built solid and reliable and vapes well.

Unless you can do it yourself on the cheap, I would just budget in a new device. A $50 Hana clone is not worth $30 of repairs.

These days that $30 will get you pretty close to a new Sigelei 30w mini which will be a much better device. Add a few more 10 spots and you can get into a sigelei 50w v2 or ipv mini v2 70w. Both will knock the socks off your clone and offer a nice 510 connection. The Sigelei is especially durable if you drop your gear.

Kudos, I agree with that statement 100%. Im a huge Sigelei fan also and its quite true that instead of paying that much for a repair bump up to a device that wont need repair if you take care of it. My Sigelei 150 has a 510 thatll never strip and came with a free silicon case keeping it safe from drops. The cheaper 30w Sigelei's and IPV's are great alternatives that wont burn a hole in your pocket either.
