I am looking at getting a Mini Fogger(306) as my first ecig. Since charging stuff works for both (IE Passthough and PCC Case) I was wondering what you veterans' views are comparing the 2? I want an ecig (or VP) that behaves and feels as close to my current analogs as possible, that is why I am planning on going with the Mini Fogger.

Here is what I am looking at for my initial purchase. Would love any feedback before I buy the stuff this thursday.

  1. JantyUSA.com
    1. JANTY Mini Fogger set - $68.50
    2. JANTY MINI FOGGER ATOMIZER - $18.95 (Is this the Same as a generic from electronicstix.com?)
    3. BOOST CARTRIDGE - $5 (mainly to try out)
    4. FARGO CARTRIDGE - $5 (mainly to try out)
    5. JANTY PCC - $34.95 (like the idea of charging while storing)
  2. electronicstix.com
    1. 306 Blank Carts x 3 - $12.00 (15 blanks)
    2. 510/306 Passthrough - $25.99 (might wait on this)
  3. johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com
    1. "Welcome To E-Smoking" Kit - $29.95 (Want to try out their stuff)

Total: $200.34

Thanks,
Jeremy

P.S. I am trying to use the "slang" here. I freakin love calling my smokes analogs.

I only have experience with the 510.

The 510 has the manual battery so it will be a different than smoking an analog.

Basically you have to press the button first to activate the battery and then hold the button while you are taking a drag and then let go of the button as you finish taking a drag.

But if we take the manual battery aside...it really imo is the closest device to smoking like a real cigarette.

I personally love the 510. It is my fav e-cig out of the 901, EVO, and SE Gold.

Pros i can think of right now (sorry its 3:30 AM right now):
Lots of vapor
Lots of throat hit
Manual battery allows you to control how long you want to take a drag
Can drip without worrying about liquid getting inside the battery

Cons:
Uses up liquid quickly
Some have reported atomizers dying really quickly (not me though)
Some dont like how it doesnt have the LED
Built quality not as nice as i would like it to be.
No USB passthrough atm...until its released ,its a con to me.
It still leaks

I think there is a new 510 manual battery that fits the ppc case (someone please correct me if im wrong). The old manual batteries were too long, so they would not fit the ppc case.

Conclusion: I love my Joye 510 :)

Jeremy, I really wish I had a fogger so I could give you a solid comparison. No matter what size e-cig you get, nothing is going to feel like a regular cigarette. What you should focus on is getting a good hit that although won't taste like a cigarette, will hit your throat, and you'll feel it like an analogue. I have two automatic style e-cigs, a DSE901, and The Great White. Being automatic with an led is pretty cool, but the hits are weak, and I have to take a 10 second inhale to get anything. I have the Janty Dura-C, and never even touch my other two! The Dura-C has amazing hits, to me it reminds me of the looks of a Nat Sherman Black and Gold, so I love the look, but it's all about the throat hits, and the Dura-C has them!

Pros
*Non-stop throat hits
*Throat hits with short, 3 second drags, depending on the juice.
*PCC! It now works with the new shorter manual batteries
*Elegant looks
*USB Passthrough!
*Cartridge holds lots of juice! I can fit about 16 drops in mine!
*No leaking, this thing has never leaked juice in my mouth, I usually just need two drops to top off, once the filling is slightly wet at the top
*Take long hits, if you want, it will probably damage the atomizer
*Warranty, 3 months on batts, 6 months on Atomizers
*Small size, you really wouldn't want to go much smaller than this
*Blocked battery hole. Drip drip drip

Cons
*Burns juice fast, I top off often
*Short battery life, problem solved with PCC
*No Led, although electronicstix sells manuals that do have an led, I will have to try those
*Atomizer can get pretty hot, if this happens, take a breathe of oxygen, let it cool. Overheating = death of atomizer.
*My friends always want to puff on it
*Hardcore smokers make fun of me, but they just don't understand

I tried their boost flavor, did not like it. Tastes like stale tobacco, same with the default RY4 flavor, yuck. I've yet to find something that tastes like a cig, but now I really don't want to. Cigs taste gross, e-cigs have dank flavors! My favorite kinds being the toffee, chocolate, and coffee flavours! I also enough apple to switch it up. Janty's Cola and Clove flavors are really good! Yum! But I'm going to start cutting my own, should be grand!

Personally I would consider buying the generic 306 kit spare generic atomizer. The main difference between the Janty one and the Electronicstix ones are how long the warranty period is, if I am recalling correctly. Since you are just starting, you may want to spend less initially so that you can try out more than one device- or in case you decide that vaping isn't for you.

An extra battery won't be a bad idea either.

If I were buying the 306/fogger, this is what I'd get. Of course, if the longer warranty is of more importance to you initially- go for your idea!

From Electronicstix.com:
306A kit: $39.99
306A Atomizer: $10.99
306A battery: $14.95
Blank Carts x 3 $12

And then various juices and carts from whatever suppliers you want. Right now the passthrough is a preorder- you have time to decide whether you like the device. The PCC might end up being great for you, but I personally would wait to see if you like the model first. If you decide to use a different model- it may end up useless (I'm not sure if the manual 510 batteries have been remodeled to fit in the PCC yet)

I haven't used the 306, so I cannot compare it to the 510. I can say that I do love my 510, and is a good choice for anybody to at least try. Getting used to the manual switch was easy for me, and Electronicstix has the manual battery with LED- if the LED makes a difference to you. Until you start trying various devices, it's hard to tell what your preferences will be. For one- I though I needed an LED and authentically menthol-y liquid, and now I'm using the opposite!

The new 510 manual batteries with the led from electronicstix.com are the shorter manuals and they will work in the PCC. The ones from electronicstix.com 510M/AKA the Yeti, and the Janty Dura C all come from Joye. Janty just had theirs customized. Keep in mind, these things all go bad given a period of time, you have to consider them as disposable. I just got some new 510s today from electronicstix. When I ordered from Jason at electronicstix I got my order shipped out immediately, and had a tracking number within minutes of placing my order.

You may want to watch the video review that Bizzybot did camparing the 306 with the 510 before you order.

I do not have any issues with my 510s leaking, I just make sure not to overfill my carts, if I do, I just blot off the excess with a tissue before I place it on my E-cig. Yes it does use up some juice. Kinda like comparing a muscle car to a volkswagen. :)

I have both the Janty Mini Fogger and the Janty Dura C. The Dura destroys the Mini Fogger hands down. Well in my opinion at least. I really like the manual switch on the Dura C and it seems to last longer and the sensor on the Mini Fogger is really sensitive. I do like the Mini Fogger but I have had some issues with leakage from my cart and getting all that nasty liquid in my mouth but have never had that issue with the Dura C. The auto is nice but the control from the manual really makes it seem like you get a better throat hit (once again, just my opinion) but the Mini Fogger isn't bad at all. It's very attractive.
