Hi. I want to acquire a 521 ohm reader
I usually use an eleaf ohm reader but my 2nd one is going wonky now so I'm going to upgrade.
What is the best, most reliable company. Should I get the coil master which is £35 or the geekvape or are any other brands as long lasting, reliable and good?

Thanks

I got a USA Ohm meter about two months ago and it showed me how terrible those cheap eleaf units are. What used to read .20 on the eleaf now reads .17 on the USA meter. Consequently the USA Ohm Meter closely matches what my Praxis Banshee tells me my coils are, which is what caused me to get a better ohm meter in the first place.

I would recommend the USA.

Thanks. I had a quick look and they look similar to the eleaf. They may be more accurate but I kind of like the idea of having an 18650 inside to pulse and build with. The longevity of the device I'm most interested in. I want something that will last as long as my mechs.
I just wondered if there was much of a difference in say the geekvape 521 which is £19.99 and the coil master which is £34.99
I don't mind paying that much if it lasts a very long time and is accurate (to a point).
I know that £££s are needed for real accuracy but I only build @ 1.2 so it's not a big deal.

I have the Coilmaster as well. Nice, reliable, great for building on. I've heard of more Geekvape 521 failures than Coilmaster, but that's anecdotal, and not proof of superiority. However, if my Coilmaster died, I'd happily replace it with same.

What kind of failures are we talking about? I just got the 521

I had got the CoilMaster about 10 or so months ago. It started to not read correctly and the ohms would show .4-.5 when it was really .1-.2 about 2 weeks after I got it. I contacted CoilMaster and I never heard back from them (terrible customer service) so I took it back to the B&M I got it from and they exchanged it. That one did the same thing so I took it back and got my money back. I finally heard back from CoilMaster and they sent me out a 521 tab mini. I didn't care much for how small it was but I used it. Something was up with the switch where it had to be put in a particular spot or it wouldn't even come on. Again I contacted them and after a while they got back with me and had me video the problem and they sent me out a new one. This one has worked fine and I've had it about a month now. I wanted the old one back so I bought one off of eBay (hope nothing happens to this one). If I end up having another problem with this one I'm done with CoilMaster and going to Geek Vape.

As @Wheelin247 points out, they can all fail. I've been lucky with mine and not a problem since I got it. I've read of problems like Wheelin's on the Geekvape as well.

I have and used the CM for the last year or so, no problems to report, I liked it so much last new year there was a great sale for like 75% off for something like 5-10 bucks so I bought 3 more. Those are still wrapped so on the same package I paid $30 for. so not sure about those but the one I started with is still working fine. now that Topwater Elvis mentioned it I may have to break one open to see, I was going to gift one or two but if they don't work like my og I would not want to even give them away. It is the exact same packaging though.

I opted for the full size, non-mini CM 521. I like that I can slide in a set of probes and read with my Fluke DMM as well. It was a trick to find in stock through; seems like the mini has taken over.
That is the one that I am referring to, I have had the full size one, almost forgot they made the mini one.
