I am trying to figure out what I'm tasting?
I'm using the 510 with the 555 26mg juice.
Great vape, great throat hit. I can kinda see where people describe it as woodsy/nutty however I'm getting a sick after taste. I also have the B&H 26mg and some prefilled marlboro 18mg "all seem to have it". Is it the nicotine? The flavors themselves or is it an atty problem. Also, 2 different attys. One I've been using for 2 days now. Everything is Vg as well.
Any input would be great. Thanks!

Did you clear out the primer/shipping fluid from the atty?

Uh, no. After reading, I will be cleaning my atty's "pure grain" as soon as I can. I thought by using them it should be gone. But with reading it looks like some flavors good or bad , can stay around for some time. Thank you very much.

It would eventually burn off but why put yourself through that. What I'd recommend is just to first blow it out by mouth, blowing from the threaded end toward paper towel at the cart end and then taking the paper towel and cleaning inside the atty chamber careful not to mess with the bridge/metal mesh. And then try it.

If no go put some vodka/everclear into the bridge and enough to get down to the coil - cover the center hole by the threads and the intakes - shake it around a bit, then blow out as above but also blow out from the cart end as well.

That should really do it but if not, only then soak the atty in the vodka for 10-15 minutes, then blow out and dry thoroughly. Drip a few drops of juice on the atty bridge and the vape on.... you might get a hint of the shipping fluid but at that point you're better vaping it away. If you like menthol, that might be a good first vape after cleaning it out ;-)

A little thing to remember to add to Kent, be extremely careful using Grain Alcohol as it's extremely flammable and can explode if you don't clear it out. There's post here somewhere describing a tip meltdown because the user didn't allow time for alcohol to evaporate. If I use alcohol, I generally will wait 24 hours before trying to use the atty.

Good Luck and welcome to the forum.

.

Hence the: "then blow out and dry thoroughly."

It quite likely is the primer. But It might be the VG. I know some people swear by it, but I don't like it at all. I add a little bit, maybe 20%, to get extra vapor. But if I use more than that, I get a sick taste. It reminds me of castor oil.

Is it just me, or does anyone else get this taste?

I don't get the taste. I'm usually vaping it with Ecopure which is a bit better quality than some others. But I know there are some tastebuds that taste Ecopure as buttered popcorn and that wasn't what they were looking for ;-) TW's aqueous glycerin is also clean - no color whatsoever. Decadent Vapours makes that one for them.

From Ron's second post, I'm guessing primer fluid.
