So in the last order I had placed with V4L (before the one I placed last night) I decided I would pick up some of the 555 because everyone always made such a hype about how good it was. But what for though? I tried it in a new cart with a brand new atty and all I got was a very strong perfumy taste. Def one that turned me off to the 555 flavor. no tobacco or nutty taste. Maybe a bad batch or what?

EDIT: I Have now tried the 555 from V4L first thing this morning with a clear sense of taste and LOVE IT!!! Best tasting juice I have tried yet....Not to say that I dont like the kiwi from V4L!!

I have had 555 from several places..some very good, nutty and semi stong. Some of the places have a peppery 555..but I haven't ever had a perfumy or weak tasting 555. I haven't ordered it from V4L yet..I am enjoying the fruity and chocolately ones right now.

I meant to ask..did you vape the whole carto or use a whole cart of liquid? I do know that sometimes a flavor needs to be shaken in liquid form and them leave the cap off for a few minutes. If it's a carto..you need to vape for a bit before the flavor developes. I did that with the spiced cider, I didn't like it at all at first, but after it warmed up, it was very nice!

I just started vaping Thursday and I got some mtn do and a red hot freebie. They both have a perfumey taste also. I was wondering the same too if I got a bad batch also.

I have 555 cartos in 18 mg and the liquid in medium. They both taste fine to me. Occasionally, I have received a perfumey carto in a box of other flavors, but so far it hasn't been the entire box that tasted that way. Do all of your 555s have that weird taste?

Just tried the 555 for the first time yesterday and love it. Best with coffee in the a.m. No perfumey taste in mine, although I did have one new cart that lasted only about 10 puffs.

I'm sensitive to the perfumey cartos and I recognize the perfumey taste immediately. I've never tried a 555 carto but I do have 555 in 20ml and 30ml sizes and they do not taste perfumey. In fact, 555 is one of my favorite V4L flavors (more nut flavor than tobacco to me). I suspect that you got an older batch from before the perfume problem was caught and corrected. I suggest you put a note in your next order and request a replacement. I also think it's worth giving 555 another chance: my first exposure to French Pipe was VERY perfumey and I hated it, but V4L sent me a non-perfumey replacement and I love it now.

I noticed that with some of my vanilla carts I thought it was just me I will keep an eye out for that when I go through my new order. and all this time I thought it was just me not being used to them

Vendor-specific variances aside, 555 is odd stuff. I got several different tastes from the same bottle. At first, it tasted like a strong non-filtered PallMall, and I did not like it. I got none of the "nutty flavor" everyone talks about.

About the 5th or 6th time I tried it, BAM! It tasted like warm peanut butter, like when you spread peanut butter on warm buttered toast. Peanut-butter-flavored vape sounded awful to me before I tasted it, but I love it!

EDIT: I should mention that I haven't tried V4L's version, yet.

Love my 555 - my fav - the last box of carts I opened didn't seem to last as long, but I love that flavor! Put it up for a while and go to something else - you may fall in love when you come back to it.

I dont think your alone. My last order with all the new flavors came in and out of the 12 flavors 9 of them taste perfumy to me. Hardly any noticeable difference in the taste....but yet the perfumy taste is there.

You mentioned a new atty.
Perhaps you are tasting the primer?

Ok great. Thanks to everyone for their honest responses. I have decided to put it away for a while then come back to it and see if I can adjust to it any. I am not gonna harp on Steve and Mark about it cause my taste likings are in no way at all their problem. Thanks again!

Yeah, probably for the best. I remember when I first got them, I hated GRAPE and CHOCOLATE. Then, one day, I tried em again and WHOA. Such great flavor.

I just ordered some 555 myself, so am excited to finally try them.

I love 555 , but the carts i got did not taste like the 555 juice more like kamel wich the kamel bites ... and does not taste like the camel cigs to me at all .

Never had a 555 I didn't like!!!. This flavor from V4L has always been consistent for me. I have it in juices 5ml,20ml, and 3-30ml and 2 new boxes of 18mg carto's. I tried them all they are all the 555 I know and love. 555 has never had a perfumy taste. I am sorry your expreience with it is not going well. Like others have said put it away for another day. If you still have problems with it pm me and we will see what we can work out.

I love the 555, one of my all time faves. But I did notice this last batch of 555 cartos were not as strong and didn't last as long. No perfumy taste so I'm just chalking it up to a weak batch. With Leaford on the job in China I think soon all the cartos will be consistent.

This one really does tastes like peanut butter, but the 555 tastes like warm peanut butter (to me). Odd. Me likey.
