5v batts, someone fill me in

Ive been seeing alot of posts about 5v batts and custom machined batteries, (seen the grenade vaporizer? jesus)
anyway whats the big deal, does it vape better, more vape?
also is there anything out there that doesn't look like a monster or dildo?

hahahah amused ..... i wondering if higher voltage means shorted drag needed .... i havent got anything bigger than the 510 at the moment ... dont think i could vape anything bigger in the pub with out people thinking i'm a durgy!!!
