I don't know if that particular PT is 5v or not but I would not recommend using it on your PC. There is a risk of it shorting and frying your motherboard. What you need is a USB wall adapter rated for at least 2 amps. Your PC USB port is around .5 amps or less depending on how many other devices are connected to it. Be safe and get a USB wall adapter. They are cheaper than a new computer.

It depends. I would not recommend it with a true 5v PT but if it has an inline battery you should be fine. USB ports supply 5v as part of the usb standard but the usb 2.0 ports are only rated for 500 ma and the USB 3.0's for 600 ma. A 5v PT without an inline battery will want to draw somewhere between 1500 - 2000 ma depending on the resistance of the atty which could fry either your motherboard or the USB controller in most cases.

If it uses an inline battery it's 3.7v and yes you can use it on your computer. If it doesn't have an inline battery you'll need an AC/USB adapter rated at 5v and 2amps or more output. madvapes sells them as well as other places.

Personally I'd recommend getting an adapter either way. I'd much rather a cheap adapter fry if something happened rather than my computer plus an adapter gives the advantage of not being tied to a usb port. You can use it anywhere there is a AC Outlet.

As far as 5V PTs are concerned, they all must be powered by at least a 2amp USB power source. I wouldn't plug them into the USB on a computer. Even my custom built gaming machine shut off when I tried to plug my 5V PT into it. I use this plugged into a surge protector. Works like a charm.
