I'd like to hear some suggestions on rechargeable Li batteries. I'd like to equal somewhere around 5v (not too much more, I'm looking for the least amount of electronics as possible).

I'm sure I could just wire up about 4 AA size batteries, but thats going to be pretty bulky. 9v will be too much to step down.

I know I could easily find this information on google, but I'm looking to see what other people are using to vape.

well your car adapter is prolly just 500ma output not mah, mah is a measure of stored energy not the output
600 mah just means it can put out 1 amp (or 1000ma) for 0.42 hours. so that would be like 25 minuets of a constant draw. or about 300 5 second drags
the average battery for an ecig... well my 901 atleast is 180 mah but it can put out 1000 ma still (which is the average draw of a 901 atty)
but yea that battery that i posted up would last about 300 5 second long drags plus it has all the recharging circutry build it so to put that in a mod might be nice..

the 25 dollars might seem steep but the charger would be built into the unit also so not only are you getting the battery you are getting the charger as well and you would get to say that you make a mod that has its own built in charger plus a passthrough lol (atelast i think the description says that you can plug it in and use it while its charging)

and 9v can be brought down by some 5v regulators some go to like 10 volts i think be careful and measure the battery with a multi meter first to make sure its not more than the regulator is recomended for because some batteries actually have more voltage than they say like i have 3 1.2 volt batteries which should be 3.6 volts but they are normally ~4.1 volts which is half a volt difference
