Hey guys,

I have my first 5v device on it's way, and currently I have the 510 cartos from Jack at HappyVaper, and also regular 510 attys. I've been vaping 3.7v with the 306 attys, but I know I don't want to use those at 5v.

Anyway, my question is, are there better attys/cartos to use at 5v? or will these hold up?

Thanks!

EDIT: posting this in the Canada forum because if these aren't going to be the best, I'm looking for someone who has better, but must ship to Canada

Although I've only tried Boge-510 & 808 carto's with a 510 adaptor on my GLV & Fistpack, I can say that I really like the Boge 510 carto's from Jack @ HappyVapor without complaint.

I've given up on atty's w/carts completely except a standard joye with the bridge removed only for the purpose of quick "taste testing" of juice flavours.

VapeOn,
Greg

Any atty with a resistance of 3-3.5Ohm will be able to handle 5V no problem. A reg JoyE 510 at 2.2Ohm can handle it but its lifespan is greatly diminished. SLB standard attys meter in at 3-3.2Ohms. IkenVape has 3.5Ohm SLB attys which I use.

Interesting, thanks for the post. It looks like any 510 atty that they have that is rated to be used with 5v is out of stock :(

Is there anywhere in Canada that offers them?

edit: should have just googled before asking: http://www.electronic-cigz.com/510hvatomizer.html

Those are 4.5ohms tho, is that still good? is it better or worse than 3.5?

I've got cartos from both Jack and epuff in Quebec and both types hold up to 5v no problem. Even 6 and 7.2 hasn't killed 'em. The epuff ones work better for me on my eGo, whereas I prefer Jack's for my HV stuff by a hair on account of the slightly looser draw.

Thanks for the post.

I did get my bartelby last night, and it was performing great on the 510 cartos and my regular 510 attys held up to quite a beating as I was testing a lot of juices. If I'm dripping though there is really no reason for me to not use the 306s, except to make use of the few 510 attys that I have left.

Anyway, thanks for the advice guys, I think I will just stick to the 510 cartos at 5v and keep everyone posted if they end up melting or doing something weird :p
