I think the little chuck is 3.7 only.

However I am hoping that mine arrives in the next week or so and what I plan on using is 6 / 7 volt with a HV 510 atty which should bring it down to close to 5 V.

I'm still fairly new to vaping so I'm sure one of the others will step in and correct me if I'm wrong because I would also like to know how to achieve 5V with the chuck as well.

Look at the AWESOME chart Ralph T did:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/71422-atomizer-battery-watts-chart.html

Depending upon the atty and battery configuration there's a pretty wide range. Maybe by adjusting either (your batt or atty) you can acheive the performance you're after?

For instance, a 510@5v is almost the same as a 901@6v. Also, the HV 510 atty is a lot different than a standard 510....

Nice chart but Jesus H. Christ its full of Ohms, volts, watts and d-d-d-decimal points! Not to mention all the pretty colors!

Now if someone would translate that into:
Big Chuck: 5v use XXXX battery with XXXX atty
Little Chuck: 5v use XXXX battery with XXXX atty
Oh and links to the site to get the batteries cuz Batt Junction burned down :(
I would have a happy camper! :D;)
(I bet I'm not the only one who doesn't read techno-speak either :p)

I use the Big Chuck with 2 3v batteries (RCR123a) and an HV 801 atty from Nhaler. It's supposed to be the same as 5v by using more resistance in the atty and for me it's the perfect vape. Never a burnt taste, lots of vapor and TH depending on which juice you use. I tried the HV juice with it and didn't care for it too much. I'm currently using Ms T's juice and it's very good.

Well, for simplicity sake, figure a lot of people find 5v the sweet spot with a stock 510 atty. Looking at the chart, that's 10.87.

So if running 6v then a stock atty = 15.65 (thus the burnt taste).
6v + HV 510 = 8.00 so better than 3.7v but not enough to reach the "sweet spot"?
6v + stock 901 = 9.73
6v + stock 801 = 10.29 (about the same as the 5v+510)

Keep in mind that attys run at higher voltages may not last as long. Also, people tend to prefer one atty type over others.

The chart is really useful to determine what to change in your setup to step up/down per your needs. Say you normally use 510's @ 3.7v and want more TH/vapor, then you could try 6v+901 where as the 6v+501 might be too much.

Obviously, peoples taste are each different so everyone's IDEAL will be different. Just consider what you're used to and using the chart you can see what a change in atty or battery will do.

I've only ever used a 901@3.7v and it's not enough to get me off analogs. But, a stock 510@3.7v might make enough difference for me. If not, I'll need to step up to 5v+ b/c what I'm missing from analogs is the TH and heat (love the flavor of the 901 though!)

lol the TH of a 510 is real nice, at first it felt like to much, then it felt just right :)

Houdini, are your RCR123a's 3.0v or 3.6v each? Since there's both available which are yours? I ask, b/c that'd give you either 6v or 7.2v and the difference between those voltages would be noticable.

Thanks!
