I wanted to post this in the newbie section to help keep them inspired. I've reached my 6 month mark of being smoke free and loving vaping as much as ever. I'm one of the minority of vapers who was able to lay aside the analogs the day I received my first Joye 510 kit from Cignot. During the past six months, I have graduated from the 510 to an Ego, from stock filler to Highping's Simple Cart mod, then on to Ego Mega cartos, 510 cartos, Ego Mega atty/cart (that was a real flop for me as I never figured out how to keep them from flooding or being too dry and leaking to high heaven so that set up came and left quickly). I tried making a homemade drip tip from the rubber off of an ergonomic pen and just couldn't find the "sweet spot" so I finally broke down and ordered a Delrin drip tip from Lite Cig and got it yesterday. For some reason, a genuine drip tip works like a charm and made all the difference in the world in flavor. I have now joined the ranks of the dripping vapers! :toast: I've gathered up all of my attys and given them a good dry burn and every one of them are still working like a charm. I will keep a few cartos handy for those times when dripping isn't convenient but until the kinks are worked out of them, I'm sitting on the sidelines. I still can't get over how long 3 drops of liquid dropped on an atty will last, not to mention the predictability of flavor and vapor production. I guess the bottom line here is---if you're frustrated and tired of carto failure and unexpected drop in performance, especially when they're only a few hours old, please invest a few bucks in a drip tip and give it a shot. It will save you a ton of money and make your vaping experience far less complicated. I now have ordered several other styles of drip tips so i can have an atty ready to go when I want to change flavors and several 3ml bottles to fill with my yummy Backwoods Brew juices, which I order in big bottles. Now I don't have to waste my liquid in a carto gone bad, nor waste all that time refilling and topping off. My only regret is that I didn't order my drip tip 100 cartos ago!

Congratulations on the 6 month mark! Before you know it, it'll be a year! I was surprised how much difference a drip tip makes too! I haven't gone back to cartridges or cartomizers since then. Now you need to try the LR 306 (same threading as 510, so no need for an adapter). I've really been enjoying the LR 306 with a drip tip on my eGo!

I have a drip tip and I can't say that I am a fan. I keep getting the taste of juice in my mouth and I am taking very slow drags. But I do agree that the vapor production and consistency is there along with juice.
When I put my drops in, a little bit of juice gets stuck at the bottom and doesn't go down without help.
So I always give it a little blow across the top, like I was trying to make a soda bottle whistle, and that forces it down.

At first I was blowing straight down into the drip tip, but that often causes it to splash out.
That is why I started blowing sideways across the top.

Anyway, no more juice in the mouth since I started doing that.

I've had the same problem before with a 510 drip tip and tried both ways that you described. In the end, the best way for me to clear out the liquid stuck in the tip was by giving my pv a good solid shake. But even that got old.
