Hi guys, had lots of help on here and settled in nicely with my ego and dual coil cartomizers.

5 months in, no analogues, thought everything was going great then bam, itchy red skin all over my upper body, super dry lips, nose and around the eyes.

Ive checked everything, washing up powder, soaps etc no problems there.

The only other thing i can think is that i changed from using what i think was pg e liquid (it was just cheap basic stuff i had at first) to dekang BM1 (which i think has both pg and vg in).

Im now on OK Smokey Marlboro juice, (not sure if they use pg or vg or both as there is no indication on the bottle). The itchiness went for a week, but is now back.

Has anyone else had any problems with pg or vg allergies? I dont really have the money to be buying bottles of both vg and pg liquid in one month, so should i try pure vg first and rule that out?

Any help would be appreciated.

Rob

Hi Rob,

I'm sorry to hear about your reaction. To me that sounds like a PG allergy. However, it is also possible that you got liquid from a bad source. I would personally try a VG blend, but you may experience problems with your cartomizers if only using VG.

I would try dripping or use cartridges for a few day with VG and see if that clears it up.

Search the boards for using pure VG, I know there are people on here who only use that and they will know the best way to use it.

best of luck!

Thanks everyone, think i will stump for the vg and a new atomizer and see what happens. knowing my luck i'll be allergic to both pg and vg!!!

If you need to rule it in or it there is one easy way to do it, and it won't cost much. Get a sample bottle of your favorite flavor in both 100% PG and 100% VG. Preferably a flavor you know you have this problem with that is available in both bases. Have at it with one and then the next. If the reaction is there with PG, but not VG - or vice versa - then you have found your answer.

If it doesn't get better with either PG or VG there there is one other possibility: You are having a reaction to a flavoring ingredient in the liquid, not the PG or VG itself. Reactions to flavorings in liquids have been reported on ECF as well.
