I received my new batteries today thanks to Randy at RTDvapor!!! I got the 5V and 6V and a HV atty. I used 5V with a Joye SR atty (2.5 ohm?) and the 6V with the 4.5ohm atty. I prefer the feel of the 6V but the more I use it the more I struggle with it. It seems like every puff is either flooded or burnt tasting. Do they burn through juice way quicker than a LR at 3.7V? Any advice?

Also I got the Ultrafire W-188 charger for my RCR 123 batteries. On the charger it has a switch for 3.2 and 3.7 volts but it also has a switch for mah. The batteries are 500mah so should the switch be at 300 or 650?

I don't know anything about high voltage attys, so I'll leave that for others to answer.

For the batteries, you know to use the 3.2v setting for the 3v batteries. The 300/600 setting regulates the speed of the charge. Conventional wisdom is that a slower charge is better for the batteries, so I'd use the 300 setting.

Yes the HV attys need to be wet at all times. And you should be taking quicker draws to avoid burning the juice or the wick IMO.

I actually enjoy HV vaping, but it is very hard to get a consistent good flavored vape for me.
There is no way in heck I could do it full time. I wouldn't even mess with it at all except for the fact that I have so many REOs

I honestly wind up cleaning the atty and starting fresh after only a couple of hours at 6V
I know some people do only 6v, but I'm not one of them.

I get much much much better results with the 5v batt and the SR Joye 510 which are 2.3Ω
Even still I wouldn't do that full time either.

IMO the only thing you sacrafice with a LR atty at 3.7 is the ability to take quicker draws.
I've never been one to worry about the temp or "heat" from the vape.
I'm about #1 throat hit, and #2 flavor and I can satisfy both of those with 3.7 and have much longer batt life.

What kind of atty are we talking about?? 510? 306? 801?

Did you de-wick it?? I used to swear by de-wicking... but I've ruined a couple atties by removing all of the wick (the wick that runs through the coils needs to STAY)

I vape almost exclusively at 6v... Im able to get consistent flavorful hits... but theres a learning curve!

I have been running one of my woodvils at 6v and loving it.

I am using the lifepor4's but using a STD 306 from Volcano Ecig
Volcano Fine Electronic Cigarette Atomizer it meeter out at 3.0 its not to hot or to cool. the EM 306 DT will fit them or you can pick up the DT on there site. I found that the 2.2-2.5 was to warm and the HV 3.5-4+ to cool. I am getting a good TH and lots of flavor and my Havana Gold loves it. :)

Just my 2c though I would chime in being a long time REO owner. :)

my findings are with a 4.5 ohm at 6v you are getting less then 6v loaded its more likely 5.4.-5.7 and its just not getting hot enough to vape the juice

for a 4.5 ohm atty i would do 7.4v it would bring you down to near 6vish honestly

for 6v i used standard attys 2.3-2.6 ohm just keep it really wet

i would also go with standard ohm for the 5v or 3ohm

2.3 ohm Atty's work nicely with that 5v Batt if you have them, gotta keep em really wet but a good vape running that set up now. on the 6v I use the Iken 3.5ohm 510 and it makes a big difference to me over other Attys and is the best HV Atty I have come across to date, however the one that MXBMW suggest is also a very good Atty too but I still prefer the 3.5ohm Iken

The atties that I have are a bunch of the Joye 510 LR and SR and one of the Bauway HV 510, none de-bridged or de-wicked. I have never had much luck with the 306's but I am loving the 6V with the HV atty, the warmth is comparable to LR at 3.7V but I can taste way more flavor. The SR at 6V was a bit much!! Once I get through some of my atty stockpile I will have to try out some different ones from ikenvape.

My first orders from BWB, KVS and primevaping came in over the past 2 days (and hopefully my want2vape order comes tomorrow!!) so I am a little overwhelmed with all of this new stuff to try and now different voltages to try them all at but I hope that I can make this 6V work out because I am really enjoying it. I didn't realize it would be so hard to get the hang of though, lol. I notice that the juice doesn't stay in the atty as long, it seems to all leak into the catch cup as soon as I stop inhaling. Slower draws have helped and taking a quick sharp puff to suck all that liquid out of the catch cup before every draw is also helping. Thankyou for all of the input everyone.
