Depends on what you mean by better.

There's no such thing as a "sealed" automatic battery. The best you could say about modern 808's is that they're leak protected. Instead of an air hole in the center of the post, it's on the side instead. This gives you a minor bit of protection if you suffer a leak, but 808 equipment is highly limited. And despite the fact that 808's and 901's share the same connection, you can't even use 901 equipment on a modern 808 due to the differences in airflow.

However, the Echo is an 808 fat battery automatic and it works flawlessly. And I have heard great things about the automatic eGo from Mountain Vapor, so I feel comfortable recommending that one.

A minor bit of protection is better than none at all. This is for my hands free solution that is somewhat bigger than a cigalike. I think I will go the kr808 route on this.
