If you look at the Liberty Flights specials, you can get an entire other kit for $30. The plus of this is that you get (2) more attys and (2) batts and a back-up charger and cones for the price of just (2) batts on their own from other sources.

That said, I do love the extra batt life of the 900mAh. They take the same charger, attys, etc. as the 650mAh, they just last long enough for an entire day at the office etc. no worries.

LF is out of stock on the riva kits now I think. I think the MFS codes end soon too I got to place an order today myself, debating on 2 more 650mah's or a 900, coupon works on atty's too like $7 something each for the ego mega atty's which is a really good deal and the main reason I'm ordering again.

You also have to take into account the manufacturer. I bought an eGo starter kit for around $40 and both batteries died within two weeks. The vendor was really nice about it, told me to send them in for replacements (which I'm doing tomorrow) but just keep that in mind when you weigh price against quality.

After this experience, I can only recommend genuine Joye. The hassle of sending them back isn't worth it, even if it's no more money out of my pocket (which it is, I have to pay to ship them back).

What batteries did you have? I don't have a Riva myself but haven't read about many problems with the batteries dying. VGO's seem hit or miss.

These were Sailebao brand eGo batteries. They have a nicer button than the Joye batteries, but if it doesn't work, a nice button doesn't help much. ;)
