Mix the 6 and 24 mg juice together for 30 mg strength.

For a target of 12 mg, 120 mL:
48 mL of your base 30 mg strength
72 mL of PG/VG total in whatever ratio you prefer (80/20, 60/40, etc.)

For a target of 18 mg, 120 mL:
72 mL of your base 30 mg strength
48 mL PG/VG total, in whatever ratio you prefer.

Keep in mind you'll be diluting the flavor quite a bit.

Hope this helps. :vapor:

If you mix the 24mg and the 6mg you do not end up with 30mg base... You end up with 15mg base.

I just bought several bottles of eliquid. 55 flavors in 250mls. Each flavor I bought 1 250ml of 6mg and 1 250ml of 24mg. I want to know how to mix the 6 & 24mg to reach 12 & 18mg.

Thanks!

...

Say x is the amount of the 6mg and y is the amount of the 24mg.

If Making 12mg

Then:
(6x + 24y) / (x +y) = 12

6x + 24y = 12(x + y)

6x + 24y = 12x + 12y

24y - 12y = 12x - 6x

12y = 6x

2y = x

So: When y = 1, x = 2

Thus: The Ratio to make 12mg is 1 Part 24mg to 2 Parts 6mg.

The Bigger Picture.

The Open Form Formula for Mixing Two e-Liquids of Different mg levels is given by,

"First mg Multiplied by ml Plus Second mg Multiplied by ml Divided by First ml Added to Second ml set Equal to Desired mg Level"

(6x + 24y) / (x +y) = 12

Using 6 and 24:

For 12 mg: Use 1 part 24 mg to 2 parts 6 mg

For 18 mg: Use 2 parts 24 mg to 1 part 6 mg

A) 166.7 ml of 6 mg/ml + 83.3 ml of 24 mg/ml = 250 ml 12 mg/ml

B) 166.7 ml of 24 mg/ml + 83.3 ml of 6 mg/ml = 250 ml 18 mg/ml

DAMN...

I type way Too Slow.

That and I don't use an e-Liquid Calculator.

Yeah, but yours included the algebra.

Um...they have e-liquid calculators?!? I hate to say it...I do it in my head when I need to calculate a mix, and finally started doing it in Excel for very complex combinations.

I hear you…

I do All of my Calculations on Paper. This one I could do in my Head because all the Known’s were Scalar Multiples of 3.

Exactly. I work with 60 and 100 base, so those are generally easy as well...particularly when heading for 18 mg/ml. :)
