its PWM. some people are not cool with that

Every regulated mod is PWM. Period. Linear regulators are way too inefficient. Good mods do this at a nice high frequency, and filter the output so that you get a minimal 10mV ripple, essentially a straight signal.

Cheap mods use really cheap regulators that PWM at low frequencies and don't filter the output. ie) Vamo and most vv ego mods

Pretty sad when you can get a dc-dc board that does it right for $25.

That's true, but the first Variant had low frequency PWM like a Vamo.

Also, I'm not so sure about VV Ego mods. I believe the Spinner had a flat signal on PBusardo's review. I think they are using potentiometers.

And then there are AC mods...

Was wondering about the charging part. It does says on the site it will turn off after charging is complete. So I guess there's a charging circuit in there. Next question would be: Does it balance charge?
Let's assume the user needs or wants the full 8.4V or 250W. Then he needs 3s to vape more than one or two puffs. That's what? 600 to 750 mah at 250W. I'd think you'd need to charge outside of the unit and swap packs to sustain a day of vaping.

Just my train of thought. Why spend the money to do it half ayussed?

I just want to make sure I get this.

For 700 dollars I get a box that can vape 250 watts. I then have to buy some cheap/dangerous/low capacity battery and then solder it in myself?

What a joke, I can't believe people will buy this and I can't fathom why anyone would make such an overpriced and under engineered product.
