...well it's been 7 daze since I started on this adventure...after 3ppd/40yrs, I have only smoked 14 funkarettes and my wife has smoked none at all soooo, I think this deal is gonna work just fine...I smoked 4 the first and second day and 2 each of the next 3 and none the last 2...my wheezing has all but disappeared, my morning cough is gone, my taste hasn't really started to recover BUT, I am smelling things I haven't smelled in years...life is good!!!!! Tomorrow, I have 10 assorted flavors coming from Blue Mist vaping(hurry up Mr Mailman)...since I have only vaped USA blend and Clove(black) from LF, I am really looking forward to this experience...heck, by tomorrow evening, I may be so far into vaping nirvana, I may never return:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Won't be long before you are be-bopping through a Wal-Mart parking lot or something and some one will hop out of their car with a cigarette in their hand 40 yards away, and you will smell it instantly. The same guy walks by you in the store 20 minutes later and you'll smell the ash tray stench of him from 20 feet away. It is seriously amazing.

If you have not tried RY4 flavor yet, I highly recommend it. Even the Chinese Dekang RY4 ($10 for 50 ml) is pretty good. That and The Vapor Station's RY4 are my 2 favorites.

Good for you, madjack!!! Isn't it amazing that these things REALLY work? After smoking for over 40 years, I have been completely smoke-free for 1 year and 2 months! It just gets easier and easier....and smoking gets more and more distasteful. After you've been completely smoke-free for a couple/three weeks, if you try a cigarette you will be amazed at how nasty it will taste. For me these have been nothing short of a miracle.

Ditto! I've been off tobacco for about 1 1/2 years now. I still fire up a cigarette once every couple months, and yes, they are nasty to me now. I can not finish one any more. I get about half way in and just have to put it out....then go brush my teeth....and my tongue, etc.

Just adding my welcome, it's been about 5 weeks for me vaping, and I still have a couple of packs of analogs rotting in my desk drawer. I smoked almost as long as you, and honestly those smokes are not any temptation for me at all. My arsenal of flavors is so much more satisfying, the thought of lighting up smoke doesn't cross my mind. This does work!

...it amazed me just how easy it has been, I was ready to quit already and just needed the "right" help to do so...I knew patches and gum weren't gonna get it done and had been considering Chantrix(sp?) but, worried about the side effects...the PVs have given me what I needed, the nic and the hand/mouth thingy(tech term)...I am awaiting the mailman(around 10:30AM) this morning with my 10, 10ml bottles of different flavors from Blue Mist Vaping(anyone here use them)...I'll be giving dripping a try (if I can figure it out ;) ) and should be in dripping heaven this afternoon/evening...thanks for all the support, that is one of the many things this site is WONDERFUL about................

p.s. a special thanks to all who took the time to answer my n00b questions and a super special shout out to the dormouse for all she does to calm the fears and answer newbie question...time and again, she goes above and beyond the call of duty in her efforts:thumb::toast:..............mj

Congrats to you both! It's a pretty amazing feeling when you realize the E-cig is working and the smokes ... well, aren't. The freedom from tobacco, the smell of smoke, being corralled into an ever-smaller area where it's still acceptable to smoke, and best of all the much cheaper cost and hugely reduced risks to your health, all make it a pretty amazing thing to have discovered. Just keep it up, don't pressure yourself if you still find you need an analog here and there, and you'll be doing more than fine.

Congrats to the both of you! I too was amazed at how easy it has been. The slip-up reflected in my sig line was due to running out of juice so always make sure you have some emergency backup supplies on hand. Your sense of taste will return but it usually takes a few weeks longer than your sense of smell (Warning : An improved sense of smell is not always a good thing! :facepalm:)

Keep experimenting with different juices and don't go all in on a particular flavor yet. Once your tastebuds recover you may no longer like what tastes good to you today.

Happy Vaping! :vapor::vapor::vapor:
