Give it a try, it works. Go to the plumbing section at Lowes and ask for a 1/4" saddle valve. Be careful when punching a boge carto because those have a soft inner tube that punches easliy. I like smoktek Dual Coils. Use an old carto and punch a few holes in it to get your system down pat before using a good carto.

I need big holes because I use thick juices. I punch the hole, loosen the clamp a little and then move the carto just a fraction. Then clamp it in and turn the handle again to make the original hole a little bit bigger. Or you can just use a nail and hammer to widen the hole. Loosen the clamp and turn the carto about 30%. Clamp it down and punch another hole. Repeat for the third hole.

I like to fill the tank slowly. I put a couple of drops inside of the carto while filling the tank. I alternate between dripping into the top and filling the tank. Make sure the carto is good and soaked before trying to fire it. Let it sit for about 20 minutes before using it. I love using tanks ever since I got the carto punching down.

My fave tanks so far

Jonboy Lavatank
Big Daddy Tank
Depth Charge Tank.

These should be in stock by tomorrow :)

One more question regarding this item Tim. Now that you'll be selling the cartos separately, is there any way you can get them in another resistance? For those of us who use variable voltage, 1.5 is too LR. I think Smoktech make these cartos in different resistance. Can you verify this with them? It would be pretty sweet to order this tank and a batch of 2.4 or 2.8 cartos to go with it. Customers get the tank and the proper carto for their device, your store accommodates more customers, everybody wins. Mind you, I could be wrong and they don't make them at standard resistance, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

Cartos have arrived! We will be updating the website later tonight. We also got a load of the new Smoktech 510DCT V2 cartos which hold 3.5ml of juice instead of 6ml, they are alot sleaker than the 6ml ones.

Regarding the resistance: here are the resistances available: 1.25ohm/1.5ohm/2.0ohm/2.5ohm We plan on stocking the 2.0 and 2.5 ohm with our next order. Should be here next week.

Cheers,
Tim

The V2 are the same length and use the same replacement carto as the original one except the tank is slimmer/skinnier, thus they hold 3.5ml instead of 6ml. Pics will be up shortly.

Cheers,
Tim

I noticed the picture of the replacement carto has a hole in it. Is this actually the case? It would be awesome if we didn't have to worry about punching holes in the replacements.

Forgive my ignorance, but how exactly do you punch a hole in a metal carto?

I use the corner of a small file. Hold the very bottom of the carto cylinder with a vise grip - using as little pressure as needed so as not to cause distortion, then file a hole. There is usually a very thin like foil remainder that has to be picked out with something sharp. when you look at it it looks like you haven't gone through yet but poke at the film and you should be able to pick it out. Oh, if the carto has plastic wrapper on it you have to peel it off and remove all the glue, I do this after I file the hole just in case I miss with the file I don't want to scratch the carto sleeve and potentially ruin the seal.
