Hello everyone,

Just wondering... I got my new DSE801 my first purchase was an 84mm super cigarette. Anyway the battery stop giving juice after two seconds no matter how I draw except gentle repeated tokes in a row (which sucks!) They start up with zero effort and are very sensitive but will stop mid draw by themselves.

These are the newer electric sensor batteries not mechanical types (I am told by supplier).

My theory that is with the extra easy draw of the 801 atomizer there just isn't enough vacuum going pass the sensor to keep it active. The air in the 84mm gets sucked through the body between the battery and entrance to atomizer but in the 801 there this air bypasses the battery/atomiser connection and goes around through the 4 tiny holes. Hmmmmm.

Also the 801 batteries lets air in through the holes in the tip which took me by surprise cos the 84mm is sealed.

Will the batteries "break in"?... hopefully! :)

Most batteries have a switch cutoff time, which is built-in for safety to keep the atomizer from getting too hot. Though for many it's unnecessarily short - I've seen a few with 2 seconds and some with up to 7 seconds. It depends on the actual manufacturer. The manual switch models like the Janty Dura-C have no switch cutoff time because you are pressing a physical button. Trog's Screwdriver also doesn't have a cutoff time and has a manual switch (Trog is a forum member here and does a lot of modding - the Screwdriver is his own design).

The only auto switch e-cig that I know of with a 7 second cutoff is the Vapor King by Vapor4Life, you might want to look them up in the forums here under Suppliers. It's a 2 piece design with a disposable atomizer inside the cartridge.

But I'd say what you are experiencing is definitely the automatic switch cutoff, which is a normal feature in most e-cigs.

rlorange...im having the exact same problem with my DSE-801/ BE-112

it cuts out after 2 seconds as well

i got mine from bestecig

it might be the new design...but 2 seconds?

i inhale in puffs and that seems to work..not great tho

I got my bats from bestcig too, I noticed that you can draw right through the cut-off and it produces a good vape. I don't know if it's a fluke, try it and see if it works for you.

Well I the problem is resolved, the problem only happens near the end of the battery life, my guess is that the battery switch is turning off by itself because the battery current drops off quickly when low in juice.

This problem is not the automatic cut off followed by the flash, this happens after 5 seconds with mine.

These newer electromagnetic sensor switch batteries are less commonly ordered my supplier at Ruyan Direct says they are a little bit more expensive to buy so there is your reason. A bit bonus is that they don't need any pressure to activate they are very sensitive. so by letting the light dim for a half a second you can resume your draw with zero effort and YES you can circumvent the cut off light. Very cool advantage.

I have only use these types so far and I'm happy with them. Might seem strange coming from the other type tho.

Also maybe these types arent suited to the 801 which draws the air from around the battery sensor to feed the atomizer so there is less pressure to drive the switch. They are great for mini types however becasue all of the air is drawn past the sensor.
