801 de-wicking

has anyone removed the wick/bridge on an 801/BE112 atty? was there a difference, and if so was the result better or worse than the original atty?

I just saw a vid on youtube of someone who does a good one, sounds like he normally does 801s, so I'll look and see if I can find it

i debridge all my attys for the 801 510 and leo and i love it the taste is so much better and you can do what is called a dry burn on them
