I've gone through several packages of these cartos. Some of them have been amazing in terms of vapor production and have lasted the better part of a week of heavy use. Some have been disappointing from the start.Seems like,in a pack of 5,there are 1 or 2 great ones and the rest are nothing to brag about.I fill them all the same way, around 20 drops.I let them sit, after filling, for a couple of hours before use.I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong and/or if anybody else is having this problem.I don't want to give up on them because the good ones work so darned great.Any help would be appreciated. Jim

I haven't had any problems except the airiness when I first use them but they get better after a little while. I just put a carto condum with the bottom cut off over the holes for a few puffs then remove it. I think the problem people have with cartos is the juice they use. I'm pretty much a 555 vaper and it's pretty clean and light. I did have problems with cartos back when I used to vape the sweet flavors. I also use 100% PG in mine. I could be wrong.

I'm using Nhaler High Voltage, which is apparantly mostly VG, since it is pretty thick. I will try some thinner stuff on the under-performing cartos and see if there is any improvement.

Bingo!

I had a similar experience with NHaler's high octane juice, not with cartos though with std 3.2Ohm 801s. Killed 2 in 3 days. Switched liquids, pas de probleme. BTW the fusions hold 35-40 drops (35 is just right) so yes you are having some major wicking problems if you are only getting 20 in there.

I was hoping you would respond. You have more knowledge of VG liquids than I do, amongst other things.
I also noticed this morning that my fusion was taking more liquid on refill. It went to 40 and I started looking for a leak in the carto condom. I've been putting 25 in them.

That's kinda strange.

I did notice that the fill height varies from one to the next, which would account for more drops being needed.

Well,I switched juice on one of the fusions that didn't work right and it puts out great vapor. I wonder why some of them worked and others didn't. Must be walking a fine line.Maybe I can just mix a little PGA in with the thicker stuff....back to the lab.

Glad it worked out for you. Switching equipment is never fun but between us here, there is enough knowledge floating around to troubleshoot most problems.

I have to use an adapter with the fusion and one thing I've found. None of the cartos I've used leaks juice into the adapter except the fusion. I start getting the vapor shutting off and I look at my meter and the amp draw goes down to 0 and fast. Just like the carto is shorted out. I blow out the adapter of all the juice and then it's okay until cleaning time again. I've started turning my PV upside down when I'm not using it so the juice don't leak into the adapter.

... might have something to do with how much liquid you have been topping off with. Try reducing that amount to around 20 drops, not sure how dry you are vaping them. But a used carto cannot physically hold 40 drops after initial fill in my experience and opinion. There are times when I think (because of use) that a carto is capable of accepting more, but I am sorely fooled.

I've been putting 25 to 30 in them and spinning them. I now put in 20 and instead of spinning I let them sit. What isn't absorbed I draw back off instead of forcing it in by spinning, on the re-fills. That seems to be working.

It's nice to see the bear in your avatar again Switched. I've come to associating them with you.

Well it was nice seeing him again. I like your new avatar too. It wasn't the juice getting in the adapter after all. Although I'm still using less on refill because I don't think it does it any good. The carto was just getting old and drawing too amps which kicked in the built in safety on my passthrough.

Yeah, they are funny that way. For some reason some of mine get greasier quicker than others WTF. It is not something I worry about all things considered.

ETA: I see grumpy has joined your new one for the ride LOL.

I wish I had that problem. I can't get anything to last much past a week (if that)..not cartos, not attys, and I don't use cartridges (too messy). IKEN atty/cartoz seem to last a bit longer and provide a noticeable improvement in taste compared most other products, so I stick with his stuff as much as possible. As for the Fusion they seem to last just as long or longer than other cartoz, but I only bought 4 of them (I wish I had bought more). Just my assessment.

Cheers all,

Rowdy
