Was wondering if someone would be kind enough to explain these cartos? From priming and filling. To pre fill or not to pre fill based on PG/VG ratios etc. Best way to approach refilling between tanks.
I'm not too sure I understand the 801 Fusions. Vs the standard style, Boge, Smoktech, Ikenvape Platinum Punched and whatnot.

DM they would fill the same way you fill any of the other ones you've used. Everybody has their own filling method they like so that's the method you will get told to use. I've used 3 or 4 different ways to fill mine. It just depends on which one I like at the time. Filling Fusions isn't different from platinums, Boges, or any other carto.

Thanks for that! Thought maybe I'd read somewhere that they're inserted into the tank dry and then a few pulls were used to get some initial e liquid going.

The 801 Fusion and 501 Platinums i have running are working well.
I'm just starting to get my sea legs when it comes to cartos/cartotanks.

And I can hardly wait to get my hands on some flanged Mega Fusions. The failure rate on the Boge F16's I have is frustrating. And I don't believe all the failures are due to user error.

The thread " how do you get your cartos to last so long" has a good way to fill/prime them that iken shared , it has worked well for me. Turns out that I was overfilling/priming mine and it lead to a lot of frustrations. The 510 mega fusions are great cartos , but the 801's are my favorite.

That's why I started just pushing my tank tops down forcing just that much juice in because I found filling them first before putting them in the tank was a little too much juice.

That has worked for me but caused major flooding on my last refill. But once the cap was attached I stuck a piece of paper towel in the top to soak up some excess. There was some juice that came out the bottom too. Sopped up what I could get and what was left in the little channel around the contact pin I rinsed best I could with a bit of PGA. The flavor started out muted so either the paper towel pulled out too much juice or the filler absorbed some PGA when I squirted on the connector end. But it's working and the flavor seems to be strengthening.

I'm Sorry DM. I only use that method on a fresh carto. On refills I fill the tank by sliding it up off the top of the carto and tilting it. They have filling devices somewhere that are great for refills. One of them, believe it or not, is called "Slap your mama". Think they could name it better but I guess it works great for refilling.http://bigdaddyvapor.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13&products_id=86

I have one like the slap yo' mama. Think I got it from NHaler. With the small intake holes on the 801's, I guess I didn't expect it to flood. But I'll definitely use it next time. I'm still learning. I think just about every piece of e-cig gear I've purchased, outside of disposables, has a learning curve.

Well for me the object or the thing I try to achieve is getteng enough juice in them to feed the coils but not completely fill the carto because as I vape they seem to increase the amount of juice in them. It's still a learning thing to me too though even as long as I've been using them. But like I said everybody has their own way and that's the right way.

Absolutely ! This way has been working great so far for me . A couple of 510's started to develop a burnt taste after a few days, but I think it has something to do with my tank, haven't put my finger on the cause yet, but the vacuum that get's created inside my tank is ridiculous . So I'm thinking the juice isn't able to flow into the carto hence the burnt taste. But overall having pretty good success with them since priming them this way. just tossed my last 801 and want to order more but I feel like I should try and use the 60+ 510's I have first . :vapor:

As soon as you get a hint of a dry carto just give it a couple of hard puffs without firing it and it will draw extra juice into the carto.
