801 LR attys are great. Your 801 LR attys will work on the Ego/Tornado/Riva with the 510 to 801 adapter just fine but won't work well with a standard 510 battery due to the mAH of the standard 510 battery (which will ruin the 510 battery quickly).

801's leak through the air holes at the connection, so be prepared to keep an eye on it and a piece of microfiber cloth (or tissue) around to keep the connections liquid free. Since 801 LR need to be kept pretty wet, this poses some problems with them but is a great vape http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizer-issues/162932-leaking-atomizer.html#post2689055

A fast charger is best for the eGo/Tornado/Riva batteries (all the same). Liberty Flights has them for fairly inexpensive: Electronic Cigarette - Chargers - Joye eGo

You can purchase an adapter to charge any of these batteries on a regular 510 charger (it's an extension) such as this one offered by TW TORNADO-Battery-Mains Charger Adapter however, it won't give a good solid charge like the fast charger will and will take much longer.

BTW, do NOT try to charge a regular 510 battery on an eGo/Tornado/Riva charger as it will damage your regular batteries or could cause them to discharge. Be sure to label it so you don't forget.

Your other option for using LR attys is to purchase a simple box mod (runs about $25) or inexpensive tube mod ($50 and up) and protected 3.7v High Drain Li-Mn IMR (AW brand) batteries/charger (safest batteries for mods). If you buy a mod with a 510 fitting, you can use your adapter for the 801LR, and if you decide it's not your cup of tea, you'll have a great long lasting larger battery to run your atomizers. My preference is a tube mod with a High Drain AW IMR 18650 battery for LR attys because of a longer battery life.

If you'd like to save some money, check the ECF Classifieds for some great buys on eGo/Riva batteries or battery mods/batteries/chargers first Classifieds and swaps You can always post a Wanted to Buy (WTB) ad to let members know what you're looking for before buying retail.

Happy LR Vaping!
