808/901 ?

Am I right in thinking that 808 and 901 are the same thing. It would seem I have jumped in a little quick and ended up with 2 batteries that are 808 and it seems most fittings are 510. The bats however are working well not wanting the additional expense of another battery and charger am looking for the right adapter so I can pick and choose my e liquid delivery. So hoping this gear will do the trick, can someone in the know assure me this kit will all go together and fit my 808 batteries.

As far as the adapter goes from what I understand the 510/901 is 901/808 battery to 510 atomizers or tanks rather than the other way round 901/510. Some of this is so confusing.

808 and 901 do share the same threading, so 808 atomizers will fit on 901 batteries and vice versa.

However, IF you are using automatic batteries then 901 atomizers WILL NOT fire on 808 batteries without modification to the center post of the atomizer. They make an 808-901 adapter to get around this issue, so you can use 808 atomizers on 901 automatics, but so far no one has made an adapter which works the other way around. It boggles my mind, because it would be such a simple adapter to make.

IF you are using manual batteries, then you will have no issues with using a 901 atomizer on an 808 battery.

The issue stems from the fact that 808 and 901 batteries use a different means of airflow to activate the automatic switch. Again, you'll have no issue with manual batteries. if you're set on using automatics, it's simpler to modify an 808-901 adapter than it is the center post on the atomizer itself, and I can tell you how if need be.
