510 to 808 Adapter Question

I'm still fairly new to vaping and have been experimenting between the 510/Ego and KR808. I recently have tried using an adapter which lets me use 808 cartomizers on the Ego. After tweaking the adapter by turning the thread clockwise a bit, I think it is working fairly well.

I would now like to try the converse -- a 510 cartomizer on an 808 battery. Problem is, I can't seem to find any such adapters. Does anyone have a recommendation? I have seen adapters that allow a 901 battery to use a 510 carto, but I understand that 901 batteries have different airflow characteristics than 808's, even though they have the same threadsize. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks, but I just check that site and they don't have adapters for 808 batteries and 510 cartos/atomizers. They closest they have is for 901/510 adapters and I don't believe those will work due to the absence of notches on the 901 batteries (based on what I have read).

WOW, now I feel stupid. I can't believe I didn't try that. Do you find that you need to adjust the adapter at all? When I use the adapter for 808 cartomizers, it had way too much airflow until I adjusted the adapter by turning the notched end clockwise with a screwdriver.

I think you read something wrong there as that won't work.. lol

As for airflow, the 510 gets most of it's air through the side of the threads so the 901-510 adapter will work just fine.

Yep, Dudeman is right, the 510 battery to 808 carto adapter didn't work in reverse. I just ordered some 901-510 adapters so hopefully that will work. Thanks.

The 901->510 adapters I have come with holes in the 510 thread side, presumably for draw. I'd think they'd all have to have some way to provide air since the 901 atomizer has the draw hole in the side of the atomizer. So no 901 batteries are designed to allow for air draw so any adapter 901->anything would need to take that into account.
