808 vs 901 questions

Okay, so now that I have five 901 batteries and 3 901 attys I hear that the 808 is better?!? Gosh, I'm gonna go broke now..thanks Rob! just kidding.

Seriously though, I'm thinking of switching since everyone is raving about how great they are, and now that I'm used to it, I'm thinking I need something that lasts a little longer. I'm having to charge 2 batteries at a time three or four times a day. (I didn't think I was a heavy vaper, but I'm in a seriously emotional transition right now so its gone through the roof!! Maybe I should get stronger liquid...?)

Anyway, my main questions is just, of what I have now, (5 batts, 3 attys, a half working PT and about 60-70ml of liquid) what is compatible with the 808? Can I interchange everything? I thought I read that you can use the cartos on the 901 batts but not vice versa right? And what about refilling? How many times can you effectively refill a carto and can you use the regular liquid? Is there a vid somewhere that shows how to do it? I'll use the 901s I have till they die, I'm sure, so I don't feel like I'm losing anything but I'd just like to know. Thanks for your help guys!!

I am answering my reading,if you want to use a 901 battery with a 808 cartos you need an adapter just for the air flow,the 808 needs more air but you can use an 808 batry with your 901 without adapter.Any way wait for an expert answer don't trust me yet, I am on my first test.

I've refilled cartos over 10 times, some close to 20. You use the same liquid as 901. There is a vid. about refilling. Do a search, or check the 808 forum, it's in there. I was a 901 user for 8 months. 2nd day with 808, and all my 901 stuff is put away. Once you get an 808, I think you'll have no desire for your 901. 808 IS that much better!

I agree that the 808 IS better, the only thing I have noticed is that when i filled a blank carto, the vapor is mediocre at best and the hit is wayyyy stronger. The prefilled cartos seem to provide perfect vapor and throat hit.

Don't put too much liquid in it, just 12 or 15 drops and let it rest for a day at least, that is like marinating a meal, you ai't gonna believe the chage,if that worked for me in another models it have to work with the 808

YEah, there are a couple tricks to it.

Just tonight I refilled some, 15 or so drops.....

Well, if you refill them and they start to go downhill or tase burnt ((usually if you vape them too dry)) you can rinse them under warm faucet water.
Now, blow thru the threaded end.
After this, I refilled right away...
I got no lie, 29 drops, then 31 drops, and on my third one- 33 drops!!! dang@!

You need to do the thermometer method to get this far...

Also,

Whenever you fill or refill, it may take 20 or 30 puffs until things are sweet.
You may get some no vapor puffs before then.
Flavor is banging!!

yes that is true...it seems like people want to compete on how many drops they can get in a carto... but the fact is 1ml is the max and .7-.8 is ideal . so , even if you can get 20 drops in 12 to 15 is enough to compisate for the different sized drops that people make hehehe

right, and used carto always has liquid inside and a blank new one needs time to absorb it, so the more the worst.

I filled a new blank one this morning with 14 drops and let it sit til lunch. I fired it up after my meal and it is awesome. Still vaping on it now and I bet it will last til tomorrow morning.

I found the same thing Rob! I never got it when people said caramel in RY4 - I got it now. LOL

I'm totally loving the Cartos especially while driving. 45 minute drive to work. I would load up 3 901s for the trip - 2 to use and 1 "just in case" LOL Now only the carto. Thanks to Rob's great prices - I tried them and I like them

To the OP - If you love your 901 it won't replace it - I love my 901 but they are nice and the convenience can't be beat. Give 'em a try.

Well I got the 808 and I'm lovin it! Hubby loves it so much he said he may have to switch. He is a "casual smoker" and does it off and on for whatever reason, but he really likes the feel of the 808 and surprisingly he loves the marlboro flavor. So, thanks!! I'm glad I got it.
