I already know this can be done because I'm doing it. But, being kind of new to cartos, I have questions.
A while back, while ordering 510/eGo cartomizers from Litecigusa, I somehow managed to click the wrong thing and got a couple boxes of the KR808D-1 Premium LR cartomizers. I decided not to send them back, but made a note to get an 808-510 converter eventually. When I finally got one, I was really delighted with the result--BEST carto experience I've had. With the cap removed and no drip tip (i.e., tailpiping), the draw, temperature, and delivery are all really pleasing, and I've had something like a week of consistent performance without doing anything except dripping more juice in.
OK--so I'm wondering whether it's so good just because it's that Premium model or more specifically because it's a converted 808. I could also see where maybe the addition of the converter to the mix might be contributing a positive effect on airflow. I haven't tried the 510 version. If folks think it being an 808 is contributing to the pleasure, I'll lay in some more converters, stick with it, and recommend it to everybody.
