I ended up accidentally taking an hour and a half lunch today because I got caught up with a friend of mine reminiscing about the good old days of wrestling: the 80s/90s period (lost interest after it got way too soap operaish). After going through so many names I never realized just how many of them there were!

"Hacksaw" Jim Dugan definitely tops my list, followed by Dusty Diamond (lol, I can't believe I said Dustin Diamond rofl... meant Dusty Rhodes :X) and The Undertaker when he was new and mysterious.

Oh and can't forget Capt. Lou Albano!

As for moments, I still say Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant was one of the best matches in wrestling history.

A lot of them are very ill or dead. Not sure about Brutus Beefcake.

I used to go to old timers matches years ago at one of those HS wrestling events. Jimmy Snuka was there, Jake the Snake (sad story there) and even the Iron Sheik lol. Good times..

I think there's another one coming up with Demolition! Haha I kinda want to go for nostalgia's sake.

There's way too many to name.

The Ultimate Warrior! His rivalry with Hulk Hogan took up a good chunk of my childhood.
Sgt. Slaughter, who came first, the wrestler or the G.I. Joe? (I think I just set up some horrible fan-fiction.)
Million Dollar Man-Ted Dibiasi(sp?)I just remember that he was a ..........
Macho-Man Randy Savage, "Snap in to a Slim Jim!"
Jesse "The Body" Ventura, The first member of the cast of predator to become a governor but, not the last.
The Bushwhackers, always there to help reinforce an Australian stereotype.

Man, that was a golden age for sports entertainment.

Cocoa Beach Florida Baby!
We have legends of wrestling every year here in Florida. I like to go and watch them. Jake the snake Roberts can still move, but it took awhile to get going. The crowd cheered him on and he really took to it.

Greg the hammer Valentine was so drunk he could barley get in the ring. Quite disappointing. Jimmy Snooka just needs to stop period. He's too old and can barley move in the ring now. I miss the antics of Diamond Dallas Page.

Ricky Steamboat was good as well as Roddy Piper and Rick Rude. For the love of God, lets all please not forget about the many faces of Mick Foley!!!

I loved the tag teams. Killer Bees, British Bulldogs, Brett "Hitman" Hart and Jim Nidhart.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper vs Adrian's flower shop was great.

I remember George "The Animal" Steele tearing off the turnbuckle cover with his teeth! And his stuffed bear "Mine". LOL

The only match I actually went to was the whipping match with Ken Patera and Bobby "The Brain" Heinan.

Whatever happend to wrestling?
