Shoulda come here first with this one. My apologies for posting a thread in the new member forum about this.
I went thru the whole thread didn't see anything related so here goes:
I picked up some manual batteries for my dse801 thinking it'd be an improvement as I kinda like the button thing. All works well @ first, then vapor production drops significantly-- I pull the cart, lots of juice in it-- re-insert vape as normal then production drops off again . Fed up I switch back to the auto batts-- alls good down to the bottom of the cart .
I'm thinking the sealed manual battery is possibly creating a vacuum in the atty chamber preventing the cart from wicking properly. BTW i'm using a spring mod in my carts. thx, looking forward to hearing from ya!

If that was the case then no manual battery would work and of course they do work. So my guess is that either the 801 was a retrofit and perhaps is manual, but not sealed. Is there a hole in the center post of the battery? If not, then it is possible that some juice got in through the button hole and you're not getting full contact with the switch- or the switch itself is just bad.

If it were me, I'd first dry out the batt with a hair dryer and then try again. If that didn't work, I'd send the battery back in to the vendor and ask for a replacement.
