I have 5 kr808 batts...2 volts and 3 generic batts and various cartomizers... No idea what type they are, actually. Here's my problem. At first everything worked on everything, now some carts don't work on some batteries... The same cart will work on one but not another. They all light up when I draw on them, but no vapor. The problem seems to be getting worse. I ordered more batteries and carts ( bloog this time) so I'm hoping they all work. But what's causing this problem? Is it my batteries? Or is it my carts? I don't have any new carts to try (hurry up Canada post lol) so I'm stuck switching and switching until I find a combo that works. Kinda frustrating. Is it something I did? Is it just that the carts are used up? have I done something to the batteries? I did try cleaning the threading ends, but that didn't seem to make any difference.

Help a newbie out :)

The cartos definitely aren't empty... And they will work on some batts but not others which is why I'm confused. But I tend to agree with you, the batteries all seem to be working fine. And I know the cartos are nearing the end of their life Span....some more than others.

At least one is brand new, freshly filled, but same problem. Only works on some batts. Grrrrr.

It's times like these I miss the simplicity of analogs.

Try prying the center pin out just a smidgent on the carto if it isnt working on a certain Batt, this could make them work, different Batts have slightly different connections even know they can be the same KR8 Batt, 1/1000th of a difference could make the difference of a connection or not a connection at times Deblyn.

As far as Batts go, the internal resistance of Batteries Rise, once this internal resistance in our Batts rise they will NOT put out like they did when new, especially the smaller stick type Batts all the way up to 18650 Batts, all of them this happens with, remember it is only a battery just like every other they dont and wont last forever. Sounds like you are ready to step up to maybe something like a nice 1100mAh Ego Batt to me, even better for you may be a pair KGO Batts

I used 808's too and had the same issue. My problem was the contact in the battery wasn't
touching the contact in the carto. I took a very small knife blade and carefully pried the center post area of the battery up a bit until it made contact with the carto and it worked fine. If you look carefully into the battery you will see there is a non conductive spacer between the center area and the sides. I had this issue with Volt automatics more than other 808's.

Lol! I have these batteries um mm... About a month. I realize they degrade over time, and wondered if that was the problem. I do have an echo, which i accidentally bought a while back, and am starting to use it more, quite like it. However I will never use it in public lol. I did take it to work last night....and got laughed at :). Taking it tonight too....but will be using it stealthily. Lol

I like the slim batts for public use. I am a newbie, and a low key person, so bigger isn't going to happen for awhile yet (I won't say never) lol.

So.... Maybe a combo of dying batteries and old cartos.... If I knew what u meant by the centre pin, I will try that lol. Do u mean the tube in the centre? I don't see anything 'pin' like on the end of the carto.

Sorry for the dumb questions.

This will solve most of the problem with cartos-batts connection. I probably will pry on the cartos instead of the batts. I rather ruin the cartos instead of batts, but that just me :)

Minitater.... Thanks! Do you mean the whole centre portion of the battery? Not really a pin, more like a flat post?

Dont touch the Batts, only the Carto's, if you do pry up on the center post of the Batts be very gentile with this, but in most cases it is not necessary at all, just the center pin on the carto people.
