I smoked analogs for over 40 years and have tried many times to quit. I tried the nicotine gum for the longer stop perior (9 months) and ruined my teeth in the process; have tried the patches; tried hypnotism route and even all the stop smoking pills. One was even supposed to make you physically sick if you smoked. But nothing worked long term.
I smoke 2.5 packs of 100 mm per day normally and sometimes more in stressful situations so I have to admit I was hardcore to the max! When Colorado passed the extra tax on tobacco and prices went through the roof, I switched to ordering cigaretts from the Ukraine. BUT! Then they passed the law where you can't ship cigarettes through the mail anymore and that option dried up.
Then one day, I received an email advertisement from Prada which seemed okay until I read the fine print that said the "free" ecigarette sample was for only 14 days and after that they would be charging you over a hundred dollars for a knock off of the Joye 510 and that you had to sign up to buy prefilled carts from them at over $50 a month. So started doing some research and found a different ecigarette forum that had good reviews on the Lucky Slicks (a 510 knock off) and the carts were refillable. Ordered the starter kit and some ejuice from Johnson Creek. From the first day it arrived, I have been off analogs! BUT the vapor wasn't all that intense with the Lucky Slicks and sometimes it was hard to draw it through the atty. So ordered more attys from Lucky Slicks and asked them how to clean the attys and was told that they weren't cleanable. Well I might have been born in the past but not yesterday, so I did a search on how to clean ecigarette attys and that is when I found this forum.
Have learned a lot from the expertise here and recently ordered the Joye eGo Mega from DragonFlyEcigs.com and the mega carts and automizers! All the differenence in the world!!! Plenty of vapor, an easy draw, all day battery life and the large carts last most of the day! In fact, the only thing I have bad to say about it is that you can't hang it out of your mouth like a used to do with analogs. But it is as close to smoking as you can get (at least what I have tried so far).
Health wise: My smokers cough has pretty well gone away, and now that I know I need to sterilize the carts (mouth piece) in alcohol even the lip sore is healing nicely.
