In my search for a copper 4nine clone, I came across 88evape the other day. The price was right, so I decided to give them a try. I also ordered a Trident v2 clone for a topper for the 4nine. I placed my order Monday night, around 9pm EST. They confirmed my order the next day and shipped it out via USPS First Class the same day. Today, being Thursday, I received both products. It was shipped in a padded envelope and everything was good to go.
The 4nine clone, I'm not sure who manufactured it. It is all copper, except the button contact, which is brass, I believe. This is consistent with the authentic. Finish was a brushed copper. Threads were smooth, not buttery smooth, but smooth. I think this may be as smooth as you'll get with copper threading. There was a bit of machine oil on it, so I gave it a wash with dish detergent and hot water. My only negative is the magnet on the button is not very strong. I've played with an authentic 4nine, and the magnets on this clone is definitely weaker than the authentic.
The Trident V2 came with the atty and 2 prebuilt, installed coils. I ripped them out and rebuilt my own using 26g kanthal and cotton. The finish was a polished finish, with a satin finished AFC ring. The posts were straight and the notches for the wire leads lined up perfectly. Copper 510 connection, just like the authentic. I did *almost* strip one of the connection screws when I was tightening down my negative lead! but saw it crooked and stopped myself to back the nut back out to start over. Now that particular nut seems to have a stripped 1st thread, but once the 2nd thread catches, it's good to go.
All in all, I'm happy with their service and products. I think their products are the same as Fastech. They are more expensive, but also ship out significantly faster. I will use them again.
