901/808D atty 3 drips and done? I did something wrong right?

No burnt smell no pop I looks brand new but when I fire it does nothing. So O shook it out and let it sit overnight tried again. nothing, dripped again gurglgurl blrw it out nothing. I got a bad one or is there a trick to this? Never used an atty before. I ususally use an eGo with a clearomizer but I thought I'd try it just cause I still had the 808 laying around. SHould I try again or are they just bad news. $5 a crack not a lot but don't want to keep buying 'em if this is common on those little things. Especially paying to get them shipped Anybody? the pic is a little fuzzy but it's about as close as I could get it with my camera phone

Did you try using the battery with something else or tried the atty on a different battery?

And, yes... atties pop

Yeah, tried the atty on 2 batts......nothing, that's why I'm pretty sure it's gone. It just never made a pop sound or burn smell is all. Didn;t know if I could pinch it or push it down or something. Oh and the batt works with a carto so it's pretty obvious I guess. No surgery options?

try bumping the bottom center pin out a bit if it's pushed in a little, use a needle or thin tweezers and pry out just a tad, did you try this ? if nothing pitch it and spin on a new one, make sure you prime it and put a good bit of liquid in the new one too, get those internal really wet, I put a carto condom on the threaded end and fill em up to the ceramic cup and let em sit for 10min or so, blow it out and then use it and drip in it

You could put it on a voltage meter and that would tell you if it was dead or not. If the resistance s too low for your batteries it wont work either. And yes every once in awhile you do get one that's just a bad one.

This is a situation where an ohmmeter really helps. It sounds like the atty popped but, a resistance measurement would tell you for sure. I don't know your experience level but, this is in the new members forum. Are you certain you kept it wet? You can fry a dry atty in a hurry.

It probably did dry out. That must be what it was. Dadgumit only ordered 1 it's a hastle doing this mail stuff my local place doesn't carry those little things.
