Ok I have tried just about everything after reading the forums and trying it all out.

My problem is that I have about 50 blank carts, but when I fill them completely with liquid, I only get about 10 good hits off of it before I need to top off or drip. More than half the cart is still full. Is this normal? It happens even with a fresh cart.

I keep hearing how people get 50-70 hits before needing to refill, but I cant get this to work.

So my questions are:

1. Is this normal for the DSE901?
2. If not what am I doing wrong?
3. How can I fix this?
4. Can I get the cart dry before needing to refill?

Any answers and suggestions would really be appreciated. I love this thing, but it is kind of an annoyance. Thanks!:)

In my experience that's been fairly normal for the 901 carts. It seems that you get less hits per filled cartridge when you fill it by topping than you do when you use a pre-filled cartridge. I think you must be reading about penstyles or other models when you hear people talking about 50 or so hits off of a cartridge, I think my max number of hits off a 901cart was like 25 or 30 off of a prefilled

BTW make sure you're not over filling the carts, I drowned about 3 attomizers before I realized I was doing it

My experience is that the 901 cartridge must be filled completely. The end closest to the user always stays wet. I like the pre-filled carts best with the round mouthpieces tht came with my starter kits. They don't seem to take as long to "break in".
They are round and brown and not as stylish, but they seem to fit the 901 better and last longer between refills. I also notice a difference in time between top offs depending on the maker of the atom and or liquid. My best experience was with my 901 platinum starter kit and juice from True Smoker. I've only been vaping for a month so my opinions here may be subject to change as I learn more.

Proper wicking from the cart, has a lot to do with the density of the poly filler. No two are the same. I have found that if the filler is not packed so tightly (not as much filler used) It will hold more liquid and wick better, thus giving you bigger hits. There is a trade off, if it is wicking faster and supplying more to the atty, it will need to be refilled more often.

Try this next time you remove and clean, or replace your batting, Trim maybe just a 1mil worth off of it lengthwise and see if that helps. -Nic.
