901 to 510 battery

I took one of those 901 charger adaptors. The one used to charge the manual battery and put the end for a 510 (atomizer part) on it. It works great on my Weller mod but will not work on the 901 battery. Is there any reason for this? So what I have is an adaptor with a 901 battery connector to connect to a 510 atomizer.

If it's an auto battery it probably needs air to pass through the adapter to activate the pressure switch.
Are you using a 510 battery or 901?

Its a 901 auto battery to a 510 atomizer

Probably not enough air flow to trigger the batt. If the light is coming on, on the battery when you puff, then the center connector probably isnt making contact on one of the ends.

No light is coming on so I think you are right that its not getting the air flow. We will try drilling a tiny hole and see if that works. Thanks

the hole will need to go through the center of the positive (center) post on the connector, and most likely it will just spin when you try to drill it!
