The 510 Screwdriver

well , I just had too.....

After hearing lots Rave about how great the 510 is , I had to make the 510 atomizer work for the SD.

Now I've never had a 510 , I just ordered a new atomizer and the 510 batteries where kindly donated by scrubadub, so he's got one of the two adaptors i made.

I dunno what the 510 model is like with it's own batts , but with the SD it seems to perform much as a new 901 atty would , saying that I havent used the 510 atty very long so it may change ..who knows.

Same principal in construction as the Loongtotem or the Classic adaptor except i had to use the 510 battery shell rather than the usual 901 atty shell as the 510 battery connectors where just not tight enough in the 901 shell.

and next to a standard 901

Once I built a box mod, giving me manual control over my 901 I sold off my 510 bits. I liked the 510, but found that a manual 901 was pretty much just as effective and gave a better flavor than the 510. At the time, the disparity in cost and availability of 510 parts was a little greater, which contributed to the decision as well.

Nice adapter. I am real interested in hooking a 510 atomizer up to a better battery with a better switch. Keep us updated and let us know what you think of it over the next few days/weeks.

You're definitley increasing the vape on a 510 like that. Standard manual 510 batteries (at least the ones that I own) only put out 3.5v on a full charge, not 4.2 like the SD does.

and I'd like to add , after some days use , the 510 atomizer performs better than the 901.
battery life is slightly less I think , I dont know if the 510 draws more mA but it's probably reduced battery life by 10-15% i guess, un-noticable really , but there you go.

Apo, are you talking about the 901 attys or the 4075 attys in comparison to the 510?

Also, in what way, specifically, does the 510 perform better?

901 and RN4075 attys. RN4075 are supposed to be better than true 901 anyhow , I have mainly 4075

initially i didn't notice alot of diffrence..but day 2 the 510 came alive...hehe

A fair bit more vapour from the 510 than a 4075..some have said the 510 burns the flavour but as yet I notice no difference in flavour from a 901/4075 or any burnt taste on the SD.

certainly produces more vapour..510 on my SD now..and it's staying there
